It's not. A Dream Bunny's Tale was out in 2019, but this was made in the 1990s/2000s. The two bunnies happen to look the same with a similar premise. I can understand why you might make the mistake but they're two unrelated things as far as I can see.

I haven't heard about Rupert in so long. Am I the only one who remembered it being very weird? Like, I didn't understand the internal logic of the show because sometimes it was full of magic fantasy stuff, and sometimes it was more grounded, where kind of normal stuff happened but with anthropomorphic animals. Then there were sometimes people, which is something that still bothers me in a lot of media for some reason.

The main characters are animal-people, but there are human side-characters like Tiger-Lily and The Professor. Magic exists, but there's no conflict between magic and science.
