The W211 E Class is one of my favorite Benzes. Great styling which has aged beautifully, great amount of space, solid build quality (open and shut the doors and you'll hear the nice solid thunk) and of course the AMGs variants and wagons are brilliant both in function and rarity.

OEM wheels suits OEM grill. Previous wheels - central star grill. As for engine: the 5.4 compressor was too expensive to manufacture, so it was replaced with a NA 6.2. For me it was like a step back. Wagon with supercharged V8, I love it! Congratulations!

Raised emblem raised emblem raised emblem raised emblem. My mom has the last generation E550, and there's something about seeing that star and bending it sideways for fun that always gets me going. Also fun fact, the a/c control area mirrors the shape of the grill, and with the modified grill, I think it takes away from that little piece of aesthetic

Congrats! Love wagons and the 7 seater E55 has always been a special one imo. Just did a 6500 KMs road trip in Europe last month with my Cupra ST. Absolutely loved it!

that is a rain guard visor. when your A/C gets broken in the middle of a thunderstorm, that will help you crack your windows a bit for air.

I prefer the OEM grille and star on the hood than the big logo on the aftermarket grille. It looks much more subtle and classy but if that's not what you want, then the current grille doesn't look bad.

Having lived in Japan a few years before this car was built, there is generally only one group of Japanese who would have a large block left-hand drive Mercedes, although they'd normally be in white. Your car has likely had some interesting former owners!

You guys forgot one of the cool features of the center console; the multi CD loader. Push the silver button underneath the hazard button. Growing up my mom had a 2004 E-class. It was one of my favorite features along with that cup holder.

Omg this car sounds absolutely orgasmically amazing. Lol. That low down revs on pull away makes me smile so so much. My friend's parents had an E55 sedan back in the day and it was always such a treat driving in it. The new ones don't feel as close to special or as well made as the W211 E55. I can't count how many times I replayed 0:33 to 0:45 just to keep hearing that sound.

OEM grill asap! Back In the day I had a 55 saloon and bought one of these. Hated it on the spot. So returned it. You’ll love the W211. I miss mine and sold it 13 years ago.

This video is 9 month old now and the owner will probably not see this comment but please do don’t start your Mercedes’ engine like that. Just rotate the key and let it go immediately, this car knows how to engage/disengage starter by herself. If you hold the key while it starts - your starter will be damaged in a long term

Congrats Jakub! Was super excited to see you post this today and such a crazy coincidence - I just registered my own dream 2004 E55 wagon this morning after 5 long weeks of waiting. Be sure to check out FCP Euro for parts, I've already used them for a bunch of stuff and they offer lifetime replacement on everything, even filters and brakes (not a plug lol). Also, be sure to research the leaking fuel sender issue and keep your nose out for any gasoline smell inside the car. Also check out the SBC issue and note that mercedes now warrants the unit for 25 years so free replacement when it's time. Hope you enjoy the car! Been watching you guys for years and you inspired me to take a stab at my own channel, thanks for all the great content!

Unfortunately Fcp euro has more verity for BMWs, they don’t even sell the throttle position sensor for the m113 which is the most common problem

Congrats on the new Mercedes E55 AMG, it looks nice great and you should keep the current grille. This is when Mercedes AMG was made different from the normal line of vehicles compare to the new mercedes with just the AMG trim. when i was younger i dreamed to import a vehicle from japan.

Rain guards used to be really popular in the U.S. as well. Great for a rainy day to keep the windows from fogging and keep the rain from getting in. Some like the look of them on certain cars. Many people still use them just not as much now a days.

The window visors are because it rains all the time here in Japan. They also don't use AC too much and prefer fresh air. 80% of the time you are in town and under 50 kph. So it makes since.

I’d be all in on a set of winter monoblocks. Keep the stocks for summer because they’re too open for snow, and the monoblocks will help keep the brakes clean, and they’re very easy to clean themselves.

it is pretty cool. The things on the windows are rainguards, if you drive with the windows cracked alle the time to vent the car this deflects wind at higher speeds and rain. A lot of driving instructors use them on their cars here. IHI also does a lot of turbos. Golf R R Turbos are from IHI. A fiesta is a perfectly sage car - cause Europe and cause we have crashtests......

I have the exact same Sony XAV system in my Toyota Solara convertible! It's an excellent system, and looks nearly stock. The other CarPlay units on the market look too flashy and ruin the stock feel of the cabin.

For quicker downshifts you wanna perform what Mercedes calls a kickdown method. Don’t just press the gas to the floor even you could. Blip the throttle with a good tap then pedal to the floor.

also for the transmission for the D plus and minus the germans have it in the W210 older E class so it's not from other cars and the 5G tronic automatic transmission is one of the most relaible Mercedes transmissions.

Great pick up! Definitely get to know arnott industries to have lifetime warranty on the replacement airmatic struts! I had one from 10 years ago on our cls55amg and just got a new one under warranty!

Congratulations! First of all, the Japanese version had limited options and was not offered with third row seats or rear sunshades. Ventilated seats were also not available as an option. I remember that the reason why the keyless go system was not available was related to the Japanese radio act. The plastic on the door is called "door visor" and it allows ventilation when smoking on rainy days. The number of E55 wagons is decreasing in the used car market in Japan, so I think they will become valuable in Japan in the future.

Nice car! The visors for the windows are a requirement if you want to drive with your windows down in my Bronco Sport. The wind buffets like crazy without them and it is very irritating. They are good too if it is raining "a Little bit" and you want fresh air to enter. I've used them on all my cars since the 80s.

The bronco sport is such a poor vehicle! Why did you buy it? It's literally a fake bronco and loses it competitiors on interior, features, and performance. Silly
