It's all about changing the minds of legislators... Gotta inform people in your area of the benefits out weighing the cons (that's it's a tuna can that can get up to 70mph). I had a Harley sportster in Vegas for 10 years... It's annoying there's prejudice against these cars so manufacturers can make more money here at the expense of an affordable car for lower/middle class people and enthusiasts.

I know Japanese culture with vehicles is legendary, but you guys being boots on the ground, is where it's at. Seeing those jimneys, i am seeing so much potential. Can't afford a G Wagon, but man a G066 would be a total babe magnet over here. The beauty about it, reliability and availability of parts. Those campers, totally baller. I loved that grey Land Cruiser truck Slater was looking at!! The yellow Coaster school bus was cool too. Loved seeing all of the campers too. Looks like a fun time man!
Hey Nick, in the early 80s I taught English in Japan and saw all these Kei cars pretty much everywhere. Unfortunately they’re not allowed in CA which is way too bad, otherwise I’d be in one now! Anyway, your enthusiasm talking about these cars is fabulous! Cheers!

After watching many of WBTF videos I'm so glad we don't have any restrictions in Europe or the car was also sold here, I don't understand why a car has to be over 25 years old to get into America when a 5 or 10 years old car or particularly when a cars brand new is going to be far safer than something going on 30 years old. If I was America I'd petition to get it scrapped or brought down isn't Canada 15 years old it's certainly Lower than the states.i now Canadians were exporting French hot hatches such as Renault Clio RS182 RS200 Clio Williams , Peugeot 205GTis . With half been French they know of these cars . I've met many French-canadians as until recently worked with Bombardier twice .
Love that you dropped a ‘feature length’ video. I stayed with it until the end. So many cool cars. Will say that I’m in the UK and we got the Copen officially imported here by Daihatsu so we’ve got tons of them and the Auto ones are to be avoided as they have major transmission issues but the manuals, totally worth it.
Another brilliant video, the white EVO at the end of video was a UK car registered on 30/12/96 it's down with DVLA as exported out of the country . The 2 Copens Nick in the video maybe different for JDM version as I've owned 1 only the 1300cc was offered in both Auto & manual 660cc Turbo manual 5 speed only..The 98 to 2018 Suzuki Jimny rust for fun alot in Europe get scrapped due to rust , if rust proved these can have 200,000 miles with the 1300cc. The 2018 onwards Jimny until last year a commercial & car variants were in sale due to emissions from January only commercial on sale. Because of this all cars are £30,000ish owners are making a huge prifit and free motoring for 2 or 3 years, commercial only difference it has no back seat and spec of the basic car model still has electric windows air conditioning etc. Quite a few knocking about with the Brabus front and modifications costing about £45,000.
What about buying a Copen over there and make it your "Japan rental car" in the sense that whenever you're there, you have a car that you could use and import it to the US once it reaches 25? 😊

Most of these JDM cars can be imported into Australia no problem and that Toyota Coaster you buy one second hand or bet a new one from a Toyota Dealership as for the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series there is a waiting list and the cheapest is the single cab base model is aud $76800 and l see JDM cars and people movers every day not so much Kei cars
1) being able to drive a slow car fast 2) having something very cool and unique for under $7000. 3) small size which is good for me living in NYC 4) always the star at car shows even when the expensive "cool" cars are there 5) Smiles it brings people young and old 6) Great Community of owners I can keep going but heres 6 reasons

Hope the cars you brought has snails attached to them!!!. leave the NA Kei's to rot in Japan! . Those Honda N Box customs and N one's and S660 are legal in Australia as we have a new Kei car rule , if it's 10 years and younger a Kei car is able to registered on the roads here. Australian government see them as very low emission vehicles.
