I’m so curious about the logistics of an event like this! Did you have someone coordinate the entire week’s worth of activities in addition to the actual wedding? Did your guests pay for the cost of lodging/food or did you cover that? Who filmed/photographed everything for you? It seems like such a well orchestrated event and was lots of fun to watch!

Dear Raya and Louis, My journey of following you both started in 2013, well back then I only discovered Louis here on RU-vid. As a teenager I inhaled his travelvlogs and he inspired me to make smal backpacking trips with m friends here in Europe during our schoolbreakes. Long before I gratuated I knew I wanted to travel the world, as Louis has shown me, that it is possible. So while I finished Highschool I started to work to be able to pay a flight. I was only 18 years old, when I decided spontaniosly to go to Argentina without knowing any word of spanish or anyone over there. In the end I spend a total of 3 years in Latin America, and consider Spanish my Mothertounge now ;) I worked in a lot of permaculture and bioconstruction projects and voluntered in comunitys like yours. I fell in love with the people, the cultures, the way of live I had created for myself and eventually with my now boyfriend of 5 years (it was our aniiversary yesterday :) ). He is from Argentina, I am from Germany and France, after a long time without seeing my family and friends here we decided to continue our way in europe for a bit. We even bought a Van and build it our self to live in it. The pandamic hit, when we were in the South of Spain with our van. We quickly had to make a decision, and as things looked worse and worse in Spain, we decided to make our way to Cologne, Germany, as we knew at least here we were able to work and wait until things would calm down. It has been 2 Years now since we came to Cologne and staying in this city for that amount of time, has tought me so much.After moving around the world basically for 5 years I had forgotten how much I needed a comunity around myself, a stable one. How nice it feels to move around a city and feel that you belong. During Covid I started to give language classes online and developed a passion for teaching the languages I speak. Now 2 Years have gone by, and I slowly start to feel the ace of moving, but with a lot calmer tempo. With my boyfriend we want to move to Barcelona by the end of this year. Through all the years I have had an idea in my mind, which was to live with likeminded people in a beautyful enviroment and live for and from the earth. With all the decicisions I took I would always try to bring me a step closer to this vision. With all I learn, I see it as a preparation for the time I will get to realise what I dream of. I would love to get to know Costarica end specifically your comunity, it would truly feel like a full circle moment before creating my own space. My boyfriend and I sometimes joke about how we would plan a wedding. Seeing your Videos was so much joy, as the main elements we named where all included in your celebration. I never told my story with strangers like this, but after watching your wedding series I just felt a call to say thank you for beeing such an inspiration in nearly 10 years, you helped me to have the courage to model my life to what I want it to be. I came here from watching Kara and Nate when you guys first collabed. Honestly, watching you guys since then has changed so much of my perspective of life and love. I have envisioned myself par-taking in some of the moments you guys have curated even outside of this wedding and have wondered how uncomfortable I would be in some of the scenarios. I want to live in that uncomforability...i agree that if you guys do ever create a retreat like this I would give up so much to be able to partake. I attended the LTA Summit in Kern Valley and I still think of how incredible those few days were. I can only imagine how amazing this week was. I would LOVE to attend a retreat. I've really enjoyed watching this view into your beautiful world. Your way of doing things reminds me so much of me & my hubby 😃. If your future retreats are anywhere close to as lovingly designed as this week then I know they will be awesome, and I may even be there! Coincidentally, I've had Alegria on my radar for a year... it truly lines up better than any other eco village I know of with everything I'm looking for in community. If I didn't own my own home on a beautiful piece of land on Maui, I'd be in Alegria in a heartbeat... although a second home is definitely in our future plans, so we''ll probably visit Costa Rica sometime soon to scope it out.

I would Love to gather up my three adult children and be apart of one of those retreats. The four of us have been through a lot. The results could be life altering. You have made a big impact on your friends and family ❤
