I think he just recorded himself a hundred times to see which is the best angle and he way overthought it. Would have been better to just naturally look into the camera but he felt too much pressure.

I'm really surprised how many people not realize why Dream is laughed at, it's because the guy was a massive douche especially when talking about his speedrunning drama and he never really addressed it and properly apologized by it, he just keeps the cocky train rolling so people laughing at him so badly is just a counterweight to his asshole behavior. Obviously he angled his face so weirdly because he was insecure about it, but that alone is not enough of a reason for people to mock him so much for it.

He's said on his Twitter that he enjoys seeing "his haters" go private when his fans attack them. He also has made some insensitive jokes, which would be fine because most were years ago but he's tried bullshitting his way out of them instead of taking accountability.
