Hey Ethan, 1:40 is just down the ridge from Demanskys.. really sketchy entry, 4:00 is Dominator on Blackcomb. And thanks for the big compliment, although I don't think I can claim that title!
This is incredible! What is that guy doing just chilling out underneath a cliff?? Any faster over that cliff and you would have landed on him! Just arrived in Whistler a couple weeks ago and been waiting for some fresh stuff to work my way through some of these lines. Air Jordan is high up on my list but I will be waiting for a deep powder day before I do it.
Just down the ridge from Demanskis.. has a bit of a needle threader landing. If I'd looked a tiny bit more to the right at 1:40 then I think it would have been in view from that angle (can only see the run out zone though, where that little lone dead scraggly tree is).
Am i guessing right, that this jumps weren't higher than 20 meters? If i'm wrong which is the bigges jump in the vid and how big is it? awesome jumps and awesome vid ;)
I'm not Rich, but I think the line you are speaking of is below the bench under the perma closure between The Coffin and The Cirque, closer to The Coffin. You can see it in Google Earth; looks pretty gnarly. The second air looks pretty elongated so you better hit it with speed
Flexy boots are not good for cliff jumping, you want a stiff boot were you can't bend your legs very well but still a small amount of flex very small to be able to turn etc.
does it matter if you have powder skis when jumping from those heights or is it just the speed? i always thought i am a pretty good skier but some of those jumps just seem insane to me
one question: I always thought I'm a pretty good skier (from switzerland) but some of those jumps just seem too fucking high to me. I never had powderskis so im asking if it matters what skis you have when jumping from those heights? really nice video and nice skiing :)
Sick video man, I'm heading over to Whistler in a couple of weeks. Colorado is pretty sick too if you haven't been there before. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hh_WQl40DVQ.html
