Dream of Italy: Tuscan Cowboys 

After many years of riding I’ve finally started to do this. This is a typical tradition of my region and one of my relatives lived in Maremma and was a buttero. Unfortunately when he died nobody took his place and now it’s very beautiful to try to rediscover my origins.

Spaniards, Italians and Romanians all have this similar cowboy culture. Guess us Latin people are the Original cowboys after all!

So simple and beautiful yet so sophisticated

The cane makes sense. I think in the U.S. they have something like this or the same tool. I know for a fact there exists a tool called a tapping stick used in the beef industry. I think most cattle ranchers in most cultures will having something like this to help direct, use to capture their attention, or nudge an animal to move. I remember seeing some ranchers in China using one but it was slightly different. It is literally a universal tool.
