Tip: if your brown sugar is hard. Stick a piece of bread in there, the bread will soften it.

@@No-kx1gm You only need to keep it in there for a day or so. Then remove it. It keeps the brown sugar good for a long time, and if it goes hard again put more bread in!

朝日 - it will get the bread hard, remove it after the bread soaks up the moisture of the sugar.The sugar will stay soft after that

Our products come wrapped/bagged in a variety but plastic is a crowd favorite bc ppl reuse it & it's cheaper. Some places make you ask for plastic. They give you paper by default for shopping. Containers come in various materials. It's trendy in the states for see-thru storage.

@@mooviewatcher3893 I m not generalizing anything ,I totally agree that not everyone is the same but most of the house organisation videos I have seen from American youtubers are quite the same thing , your supermarkets are also filled with tons and tons of canned foods,even vegetables and fruits are wrapped in plastic, and they might seem convinient in short term or fulfill crazy hectic lives of people ,but they ultimately lead to humongous trash accumulation,the demand of takeout foods in your country is way higher than other countries ,also do not forget that America is one of the the largest producer of plastic and electronic waste in the world , your plastic consumption is so high that u send them to recycle to other countries but ironically the other countries are sending back those trash to America because they are not capable of recycling your crazy plastic waste as it is ultimately leading to health and environment crisis ,tons of people who work in these plastic filled landfills are dying working in hazardous conditions and talking about environment,to be honest , people have long before stopped caring about it ,so rather than passing the blame to others and acting like an arrogant person like it doesn't matter at all ,it would be beneficial if everyone starts to work towards reducing plastic waste and recycling them because afterall we r all a part of this planet and it is everyone's responsibility.

@@mooviewatcher3893 I already mentioned before that I m not talking about each one of the families or individual ,but the majority of US population does that and that's what contributes to the major plastic production ,coz it's absolutely naive to try and count the minority as their percentage is not enough to bring down the plastic consumption anyway . And as far as China is concerned , America used to dump it's plastic in Asian countries over the decades , so these countries have already been suffering from huge plastic recycling issues . Also most of the American manufacturing factories including apple iPhone are located in China ,so I m not surprised as to why they are topping the charts. Although it's true that China has increased it's plastic consumption for the last few years but America still is a major contributor to its production. The real issue is how many people are truly trying to tackle the situation,coz nothing happens if majority are still using plastic in such an alarming rate, and just a few people take necessary steps for the well being of the environment and it is applicable for any country not just US

A few suggestions: add scoops to some of your containers, get a cute step stool, and get a basket for your bread a little bigger so you can see inside. This is super cute!

I've learned that "Lazy Susan" is the "technical" name of the organization device that spins that you called a spinny organization. I may be incorrect but that's what I've heard people call them🤷🏻

Love the pantry 😍. I also have wire shelving in my small pantry and laundry closet. The budget did not allow for removing and replacing with wooden shelves, so I picked up a long piece of plywood from home depot, cut them to fit on top of the shelves, covered them in some pretty contact paper from Dollar Tree and Wala...beautiful. Very happy with the results.

Another way is to have plexiglass cut to size for your shelves. You get the convenience of a solid surface and the airiness of wire shelves. Best of both worlds.

Clear place mats from the Dollar Store work great on wire shelves! We used to use them in our old refrigerator. They will allow you to use your can organizer or anything else that may fall through the wires.

I would set up a home management system and budget per room and per area if your decorating. That way your not spending excessively and you can afford to do it. its easy to get carried away with organisation but it all adds up. Maybe set a budget per room start with your kitchen or your bedroom and once that is done move to another area and most importantly shop around. Not only can you then make a really beautiful area but you can also manage it financially which is most important. I have a home management binder and a budget that i discuss with my husband when i want to do a new project. We do not use credit cards as that is never a good way to manage money - spending money you dont have- we spend what we have budgeted for and saved. that way we stay out of debt, have a beautiful house etc... you can also then research what you want to do with an area with boards, videos and pictures and estimate the cost of what you actually want and minimise cost at the same time. Congratulations on your new house! There are lots of great videos on you tube on creating home management systems for your new home - makes things run smoothly like cleaning, running your calendar, shopping all those things we do to maintain our home life! Its so exciting moving into your new home - Happy moving!

We ladies can always help each other out by what we learn. lol i should start a you tube channel im a crazy management organizer for time and home management. but i lack the creativity this lady has. I love seeing how others manage their home - I can always learn from others and maybe improve how my home runs. We Budget for everything so the only debt we have is our mortgage. We didnt buy a house till all our debts were paid. Iv learnt a thing or too about home and finance management.

@Alexandra Beuter Save yourself a ton of money girl now, as a young homeowner and switch to cotton kitchen rags and skip paper towels! Tons of $$ wasted on something that you use and toss in trash or compost after one use. We haven't bought paper towels in 10+ years and has saved us sooooo much $$. It turned out really nice!!

Hi Alexandra! First of all, you are so beautiful and have such a beautiful family and home. I loved when your husband and baby popped in! I’m so glad that I saw your video because you have so many of the containers that I over-bought and needed a purpose for! You can buy clear rolls of shelf liner from Costco; they are sold as two roll-packages and are 15 feet long each (you cut down to size to use for your wire shelves for areas that you don’t want things to fall through), under sinks and in cabinets and drawers. The corner organizer you said that was too small; maybe put a large clear lazy susan there (I recently switched my oils and vinegars out of bins in a corner to a large clear lazy susan). Looking forward to watching more of your videos! Everything turned out so amazing!

For anyone looking into organizing their pantry with containers, I HIGHLY advise ya'll to look into what containers you were actually wanting/needing to purchase; that would be comparing dimensions of each container to your pantry, keeping you from over buying and having to return or not buying enough for what your needs are. Love the process work!!

Hi Alexandra, love your pantry! Fellow Taurus here and you did that exactly how I would have, being very organized and with room to grow. You can use clear or decorative vinyl or plastic placemats or decorative vinyl tiles to line your wire shelves under the things that might fall through. I thought the liners were too expensive myself so had to think of something.

There’s no such thing as too many reusable shopping bags when stores charge you for bags! We have a plastic bag ban and most paper bags don’t have handles.

I had to go inside to get there reusable bags and unpack the paper bags from the car to get into the house bc I couldn’t carry it that way but it worked head with the reusable! My town has a ban. The closest city also has a ban but the stores there are required to charge 10 cents per bag so I get really upset when I forget bags cause it’s an hour away!

By the way, I have a suggestion to tell, it is that it would be good if you reduce the use of plastic (especially bottles) since they contaminate a lot the environment. We are also in a moment that we must protect and care for the environment, so with the most respect I leave you as a suggestion to reduce the purchase of small plastic bottles and start using and buying glass bottles! On the wire shelves, you can get white or whatever color duck tape... and place it in the shelf neatly! It’s like the sticky shelving liner like you would use in your cabinets... test sticks better for the wire shelves... just be sure to go all the way around to avoid exposed sticky area... that will collect dust and dirt

I love organizing. Watching other people organize is almost as satisfying. :) I also wash out and save jars from food (mayo, cheeze whiz, etc) and use them in my baking ingredients cupboard to hold nuts, oatmeal, rice, pasta, chipits, etc. Labels off, you can see through them and they're free.

A little tip for brown sugar I’ve used for a long time is marshmallows. Put in a few and your brown sugar won’t turn hard or clumpy.

Looks amazing! I would put a small whiteboard on the back of the pantry door or on the side somewhere inside so every time you’re running out of something you can write it down there and you’ll have your grocery list there when you go grocery shopping just take a picture of the whiteboard and you’re good to go. Just a thought...😊😉

When i organzined my pantry i got spice jars from amazon w/labels so they wud be all the same😊also i first put them in clear bins....then i layed them flat in drawer next to stove...perfect!!!

Tip for wire shelves is if you have a local dollar tree they have these chopping mats that come two to a pac that can be used to help items from not falling through.

i know this is old so you probs wont see but i recommend a brown sugar saver. not sure if that's a real name but its a ceramic disk you soak in water and put in your brown sugar container that keeps it from getting hard. its awesome

I have a pantry, probably a bit smaller than yours. But, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so, I use it as a pantry, for tool storage, and storing all of my household paints and other products. Perhaps, if you bought shelf liner on a roll, it might help with things falling through. Also, semi-opaque cutting mats from the Dollar Tree. You may need to spray a verrry light coating on the underside to keep them from shifting, however.

We bought the plastic liners for our wired shelves at walmart. I wanna say it may be cheaper than $30. I can't afford $30 so I know it was cheaper. We still have some left over (but my pantry is a lot smaller than your new one). I'm so happy for you guys on your new house btw!🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

The dollar tree has clear cutting boards and you get two to a pack that you can put on the shelves so stuff won't fall through

The only thing I don’t like about putting things into containers is you lose the expiration dates . Maybe writing them on the bottom of the tubs ? I know permanent marker erases with 90% alcohol .
