You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ru-vid.comUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
You are the best! There are a lot of instructors on RU-vid but I get the best knowledge from you. You are a true craftsman! Thank you for all the great videos!
Great tips, i just sold my beloved Uni-Saw and purchased the 3 HP Saw Stop PCS. i have been in a wheelchair for over 36 years and other than help getting it out of the box and on its stand, i, assembled the rest of it and adjusted it by myself. the blade to miter gauge was out 16 thousands and i used my dial indicator to get it absolutely perfect from front to back of the blade...not even a thousand out. the way that the engineers designed the adjustment made it so easy to do. Great saw and great customer service!
I took one of Wiilliam Ng's class and I learned so much in that week it was scary! I'd take more classes but the California traffic is insane! To travel 30 miles, plan on about 2 hours EACH WAY! His shop, while being immaculate is every Woodworker's dream and his instruction is the VERY, VERY best! This man is a product of the El Cerrito program where he took EVERY clsss and then began teaching before striking off on his own! He is SIMPLY AMAZING!
Welcome back I know about your knees I do hardwood floors for a living of 23 years. I love your space and the knowledge you have wish I could be able to come to your schools.
Your videos are amazing, and I love each of them. Please keep them coming. Your attention to measuring and tolerances has helped me improve my woodworking.
Glad you are back and all is well! looking forward to learning and growing new skills. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to a wonderful craft.
This is great news! Looking forward to your future videos. I have had my SawStop for almost 7 years ... never a problem, and she has always been rock solid.
Yes, I did miss you and it's great to see you back. Thanks for all the safety info about using the saw, I agree with you about the riving knife and the other safety items that should be used with the saw. I recently bought a new Dewalt table saw since my other table saw was missing the safety equipment. Congratulations on your new shop and I hope to see more videos from you soon. Thank you.
First time seeing your channel and so very glad you did. Ever since seeing the sawstop safety feature demo in action I have been wanting to upgrade to one. That and the fence just from it’s look is 1000 times better than what i have. Your description of its setup for getting it square has fully made up my mind. Thank you very much for that. I look forward to your future videos and will now head back to your previous.
I'm so happy that you're back! Each day when I scroll through my subscription list I have felt a pang of sadness when I get to your channel. I've watched all your old videos (some of them several times), and am so glad that we can have some new ones!
Thank you. Your videos are excellent in so many ways, from the way you present yourself (thoughtful, considerate, respectful) to the quality of the information that is covered. I have learned so much from your work - and unlearned a few bad habits I had. I look forward to more of these.
Hi William, your old vids are still some of the best learning resources for a new woodworker. Super glad to see you are back Looking forward to your vids from the new set

Welcome back William!! It’s great to see you again. Congratulations on your new studio shop. That’s really going to help with your production and enjoyment. The video was excellent. You pointed out some very important things about the table saw that are super for those who are new to woodworking and great reminders for those of us who have been working with table saws for a long time. I’m looking forward to more videos from you.
Like everyone else, so glad to see you’re back! Congrats on your production workshop. I’m hoping this equates to more videos as I love your content, humor and technical details.
Glad you’re okay and still doing good. Can not wait for your next video. I love your old style of no nonsense woodworking and tight tolerance carpentry. Keep up the good work William!
Sir William, :-) Thanks to this video, I got my table saw fence dialed in too. I had no idea I could adjust the fence until this video showed me those screws to look for. I feel like a dummy now, but man am I happy to have my stuff all dialed in and cutting straight / square cuts. THANK YOU!!!
Yes, we’ve missed you! I’ve been checking your channel so many times that I didn’t believe my news feed when I saw this video. Congrats on the new studio! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. Your instruction is brilliantly suitable for newcomers and seasoned woodworkers around the world. Plus you crack me up! 😄
Those are some great saw alignment tips. LOVE the center punch tip for the miter slot. Not sure why that thought never occurred to me! Look forward to seeing more of your videos
So glad to see another video from the master... I have binged watched your videos several times. I wish I was closer to your school to take classes. Some day, some day.
Ha! How lucky that I kept watching after admiring the shop. I am currently waiting on delivery of the exact same table saw so this truing method will definitely help. Thanks again!

Great to see you back William, if you did teaching in Ireland I would definitely go, very good teacher, you would bring my woodworking skills up big time 👍
I'm so happy you're back! You can't imagine how much you helped me with your cross cut sled video. I was getting so frustrated with the imprecision in perpendicular cuts before...
Es ist immer wieder eine Freude und ein Genuss deine Videos zu schauen. Selten ist jemand so akkurat wie du. Das was du sagst und zeigst, darauf kann man sich verlassen. Danke.
I missed you ! Love your videos.. I always learn something.. need to check out very super cool tools.. they make a biesemeyer t square fence that uses a extruded aluminum rail that you can use jessum stock guides.. it’s awesome.. you can get different height fences for cutting tenons and raised panels. I got one last summer.. thanks William 👍
So happy to see you're back. Yes, I know we'd love to see your progress videos, and if you have any before shots that would be great too. You always get a "like" from me. Thanks William.
man I have missed you. glad you're back. as a retired machinist 40yrs + now turned crazy woodworker building grandkids desks + more I get every thing your saying. please post more when it's convenient for you. love your new space
Your videos are truly inspirational! Thank you for your time and effort. The way you explain and teach is remarkable and tells tales of vast experience. I would love to see a build series from you, where you design and build furniture with hand made joinery. All the best from Finland!
I am so glad that you are back, happy to see you are fine and that things are coming out the way you want them, God bless you sir. I hope to see more videos, you are a fountain of knowledge. Thanks for sharing these videos.
I couldn't hit like fast enough! So looking forward to more! Also, I've started to work with more rougher boards other than plywood lately. I have found that when ripping wider boards, the bandsaw is the prefered tool to minimize the risk of the boards releasing internal tension. Then take it to the table saw.
