I just got my solar system installed on my 44v14. I was able to get 3080W on the roof, with a 6k inverter and 300Ah of batteries (@48V). I'll be making a similar video as yours.
Very nice set up Just what I did. I got a power strip with thermostat leads I put one in the front bay where the charger and batteries are located and the other lead in main bay. Then plugged in two fans and cut holes to install them where it pulls cold hat into main bay and on other side of the bay installed the other day to blow into the front top compartment so they turn on and off where I have my temps set at on the power strip. Now I can keep the bays closed.
I saw you said a total of 600-700lbs of total weight was added to the rig, but how much was added to your pin weight? Since some of the weight was spread across the rig with your panels. Thanks.
Ryan, great install video! If you don’t mind answering a couple of questions first how much weight did this setup add, and what was the cost if you don’t mind sharing. Thanks for taking us along on the install. I guess the golf cart is a no go for now! LOL.
So the weight was between 600 and 700 lbs. Pricing on a system that can run all 3 acs at once and 1 ac all night til morning runs about $20k for the parts. Average ROI timeframe= overnight stay in RV parks average out to $60/night. for the parts it would take about 334 days to get your ROI.
It was a general install video not necessary a how to install a system. After all the NRVTA is a working school so there are alot more people around the build than normal!
