It eventually ends with the idol writing back and seeing how the guy fell into madness so... yeah. People use "stan" for dream fans cuz they make genders/sexualities around him and treat him like a god so yeah.

As much as I like DSMP, and how talented a lot of the fandom members are, there are some people who are very obsessive. We shouldn't bully these kids, because they ARE kids. They'll grow up and cringe at their past selves as adults, and that's honestly all the comfort I need.

Yeah I am also in the dream smp fandom and I can say that there are some AMAZING people in this community but there are also some really, really, really toxic people. Some people are absolutely ridiculous and it is so sad to see them act the way they do. I am the part of the fandom who is on the more shy side because whenever I say im a dream FAN people are always like "oh you're one of the STANS" and I'm always like "no definitely not" and I want people to know that most of the people in this community are genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met but a handful of them just go way too far with it.
