After seeing this, I know your going to love Learning to Live and the live version of Sacrificed Sons as they're both even more emotional than this song. I felt the same way as you when this song came out and I heard it for the first time. So much emotion in that guitar solo.

Man, this reaction literally made me tear up. I have heard this song hundreds of times, but it was like I got to experience it again for the first time. Please try to do "The Spirit Carries On", live from either Score or "Live: Scenes from New York". Then you can hopefully do the full album of "Scenes From a Memory" someday, literally the greatest album of all time

If you liked the beautiful atmospheric section before the vocals kicked in, then I highly recommend you check out the band Porcupine Tree. They turn the gorgeous atmosphere up to a 11. I highly recommend you check out Arriving Somewhere but not Here (studio version) by them. The main song writer for Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, has produced multiple Opeth albums including Blackwater Park which you have listened to some songs from, and he has collaborated with Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater on multiple occasions.

Però i veri primi Nightwish sono con Tarja e paradossalmente ti invito ad ascoltare il loro primo album ufficiale dove sono ancora molto acerbi ma molto genuini negli intenti. L' album è "Angel fall first". Poi con l' album "Once" (l'ultimo con Tarja) hanno raggiunto l' apice e da li in poi si sono solo riciclati.
