How true.....I love this band to the end. Mangini is awesome, but Portnoy was the heart of the band though. (just an opinion) But I will always support these musicians.
Get off portnoys nuts, he blessed us with the glass prison and change of seasons but he is gone. Get over it, they are happy and still an amazing band.
I learned that performance skills and musical skills can mean very little without Inspiration! That's the component that's missing now from Dream Theater. And that's what Portnoy's greatest gift to them was.
In America we're brainwashed into thinking what ever is on the public radio airwaves is the best music out there. If a band won't play their game they get shunned by big radio. I refuse to listen to the radio anymore ... plus the music sucks
