This will be a completely new year for me. I lost my husband of 55 years December 3 2022. I don’t have a bucket list so for me I am going to have to find a new me. Start a life without my sound mate. We have been together since we were 15 so this will be a completely new way of life for me. I just hope that I have the strength to find a new life and have some peace

Allison, you look like a Valentine this morning!! I love the poetry you read, and your goals of intentional living. We all need to spend more time living intentionally. I wanted to mention that it is much more difficult to do that in a comprehensive way once you have children, at least when they are small. Having a baby changes your focus, so just don’t be too hard on yourself if you, temporarily at least, are unable to live out all these beautiful goals after having a baby. I also love that you have a more peaceful day on Saturday. I am a Christian, and a Sabbath keeper. Jesus kept the seventh-day Sabbath, and he is our example. We set aside weekly pursuits to concentrate on a relationship with Him, and it is a huge blessing. It is also one of the Ten Commandments. You are beautiful inside and out, and I love watching you. Happy New Year to you and your husband!!❤🎉❤

Love this video. My hope for this year is to become a mother. My husband and I were struggling with infertility for years and we finally started our IVF treatment. It’s been an physical, emotional, and financial journey but I just know we are almost close to getting our little miracle ❤

I always choose a word to focus on for the year. My word for this year is Faith. My faith is a huge part of my life, but I want to grow in faith more and worry less. I want faith to be bigger than my fears and to fully live knowing that I am not alone and that God is with me at all times. I struggle with worry and anxiety because so much is on my shoulders, so if I can achieve this I think it will be a huge step toward peace and joy.

Hey Allison, I am a mom of three and they are 53 and two and our goal this year is to get 1000 hours outside! We homeschool and our military family and getting outside has always grounded us and just being so content and who we are, and just encountering God‘s creation. Cheers!

Happy new year! So sad the Christmas season is almost over (12 days of Christmas) but excited for a new year, new beginnings! I hope this is the year I finally get pregnant! After trying for 17 months and being diagnosed with endometriosis I feel hopeful since my surgery is getting scheduled this month to remove the cyst that is causing all the blockage! Praying to become a family of three by next Christmas Day. It's been quite the journey, nothing prepares you for infertility, but leaning into God through it all.

I think it's such a great idea to intentionally prioritize your friendships as a dream for the year. I'm about 5 years older than you, give or take, and I definitely feel lacking in close friendships because like so many people my/our age, I let that aspect get away from me in the busy-ness of life. I can tell you from personal experience that it is so much harder to revitalize those connections once they've lapsed than it is to maintain them while they're in your life! So I think making connections is part of my dream for 2023. I'm also trying to establish a productive daily routine without exhausting or stressing myself out, establish consistency in my leadership roles (work and church) and go a little bit bigger with them, and finish more writing projects!

This is such an inspirational video to adjust your mindset of yearly targets to yearly dreams which make the process of achieving them so much more special. My Husband and I are in a very similar season to you as last year we wanted to begin a family but he got poorly with digestion issues with no medical answer but most likely due to stress and he's slowly got better over the course of the year and we've decided to start preparing for parenthood this year now. I struggled with patience and understanding last year as all I've ever wanted to be is a mother but realise now it will be all more sweeter when it happens. Thank you so much for sharing this Allison. I printed it out. I need to spend more time on nature. I am planning a butterfly garden with bird feeders this spring. I had a difficult year last years so getting out side and connecting this year is so important. Walking more hopefully on the beach. I would love to do something for others once a month. Loved this video and I'm so excited for you, especially as you think about writing a book!! I had an idea for your book: maybe you could split the book into the four seasons, since something iconic to you is how you treasure what each season has in store for us, and you could write out things to do / bucket lists for each season to inspire us to treasure each season and do the same, and drinks/food recipes for each season too!
