In this video, I finally get the upper tin on the west wall of my dream woodshop! It may not seem like much, but this allows me to run permanent electrical conduit and compressed air lines as well as connect the wires that go to the sub panel kitty-corner in the shop. That means that I will soon be able to hook-up my machines and stop working from an extension cord 😊

Thanks Dave! I had a buddy catch a bow saw being dropped 20' out of a tree when we were in our early 20's. His hand was never quite the same 😮 I think about that to this day whenever doing something like this! 😬

Wow! So bright and nice! Turned out so great! I bet this is a wall that really starts to let you see your vision become a reality, which for me is always a real motivator! I really like that look! 🎉

Thanks J Ned! You are 100% correct! It has been such a pain working out there from extension cords all this time, and with this upper tin done, I can 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 start work on the conduit for the electricity! It's nice to see that it looks just like I had planned (with the exception of the tin being less bright than I envisioned). I really need to speed things up. It's Spring, and outside work will soon take up a lot of my time 😐

That upper tin really makes the place brighter! I'm starting to think this may be a good idea in my dime old shop 🤔

I'm not sure what I was envisioning, but this wasn't it. You kept mentioning the upper tin, and for some reason I was envisioning tin squares with a pattern like an old general store. This looks way better than the stuff in my head! 😉 Great job!

Thanks Freddy! Nope, no old-fashioned tin for this woodshop! I don't mind eclectic, but the overall look is going to be Bright Industrial. It will look a lot better soon with some conduit and lighting!

Hey Mojo … I have found when installing my tin panels it works out great to pre drill. If you mark your screw locations when the panels are stacked and pre drill them all at once. Just a suggestion for future projects/install

Thanks Dose Amigos! I don't drill at all normally, but I do pre-punch on larger panels - if I have a punch handy and remember to do so 😉 You can punch through a pretty thick stack with just one swing. I picked that trick up from @RRBuildings 😊

I'll bet you're super hyped about being able to finally run some electricity! Don't you still have work to do on the planer? If I remember correctly, you bought that Shelix cutterhead way back when?
@TrapDoorWoodworks

Thanks Dick! Yes, I still have that cutterhead and digital depth gauge to install, and I need to figure out in and outfeed tables. If nothing goes wrong, it will take at least a couple of days, but it will make life dramatically easier in the shop! I cant wait to get at it! 😊
