timmer919hep The issue is, they DO have other fighter franchises besides SF and MvC, but the question is, “Will they sell units? Will they meet Capcom’s sales quota?”

@@williamcolon4070 Yeah it sucks. Capcom probably needs to lower their expectations. If you set things too high, you are gonna be disappointed when the numbers come in and they don't meet your steep expectations.

timmer919hep I’m sure you already heard about this, but they were trying to resurrect Darkstalkers back in 2011, but they weren’t sure if people even want it back, so they pulled out a PS3/X360 collection of the first 3 games to drum up interest. Problem was, Capcom was releasing too many fighters at the same time (new editions of SF4 and UMvC3 and MvC: Origins) that Darkstalkers was lost in the marketing craze. Capcom dismissed the collection and the possible sequel as a commercial failure (though the reviews were okay), and that’s how we’re left with SF and MvC, although once again MvC will be on indefinite hiatus due to Infinite’s bad reputation.

RayMinishi SNK was already in financial trouble when the CvS games were made so it really wasn’t Capcom’s fault. Also When SNK developed SVC Chaos, I’m pretty sure SNK got most of the profits since they developed it. I’m sure they could do a crossover now without issue

@@therock238360 Not sure who developed Infinite, but clearly they were under funded regardless. With talks about Capcom vs Capcom (or whatever) it does make me think what if SNK did a more Street Fighter paced crossover (i.e. SvC 2) while Capcom does a Mahvel style crossover with SNK characters instead. However what to call such a game? I suppose CvS 3, but I think such a name implies a style more similar to CvS2 than a Mahvel style one. CvS All Stars? CvS Infinite? lol

I honestly don't know why they don't especially since snk has been having a resurgence recently and it can't be too hard like it's probably easier to re release these games then say the older marvel vs capcom games also one quick thing I wanna mention is that capcom vs snk 2 is available on the ps3 store as part of the PlayStation classics line for 10 bucks

@@MagillanicaLouM Maybe. All I know is that Rugal is trash, and that Geese is way better.

@@rockmenx8xx411 i prefer Geese too. Hes had more of a presence in all the main snk fightung series. Fatal fury, art of fighting, only in kof is Rugal more prominent and to my knowledge thats only in the first couple.

The SNK side has the same problem with all the characters except Nakoruru (at the time) being playable in King of Fighters, but KOF is a crossover series so I blame it less.

but I use reDream emulator. it's awesome No extra setup other than getting the game and configuring the controller. downside is that it's not compatible with a few good games. But for me, my favorites are playable so I'm good with it. Demul has better compatibility, but for me, it jitters a lot. if you just can't, for whatever reason, get the system, then use those two emulators. As for the system, I got my replacement system from a local "retro games" store and it was like $40 and works perfectly. I see them on ebay for fairly low as well..though they are starting to rise because of all the nostalgia and young kids wanting to be included in that world. Personally, I have a few games I play on the original hardware..on each system I have..but I mostly just use the emulators for convenience.
