Any content creator making content around Starfield should be real careful -- cause the game has all the ingredients for complete disaster. Ambitious promises, Bethesda refuses to stop using a notoriously buggy game engine, objectively the game isn't visually comparable to other modern games, procedurally generated content typically sucks, poor animation quality, combat looks floaty, the firearms don't look impactful from a visual standpoint, the premise of the game has already been done by No Man's Sky and that game was a complete flop. I'd be less quick to jump on other creators, and wait to see how poorly Bethesda drops the ball -- cause that is the far more likely scenario at this point. If you want a space based story driven game to look forward to -- I'd say be hyped for Outer Worlds 2. It's being developed by Obsidian which is where pretty much all of Bethesda's talent went anyways. I imagine it's why Avowed looks so good too.

You can straight-up be a space pirate. -Various factions with different ideals and beliefs. -Random things can happen like coming across space cruises, being hailed by strangers, or getting attacked randomly. i did all of those in minecraft lol. Joke aside. To be honest i’m still underwhelmed by star-field. I don’t find much of it is interesting. That being said i never found Bethesda games to be interesting. I could never get into Skyrim or Fallout. I’ve tried so many times. Maybe Star Field bring sci-if space exploration would change my mind

I mean what you described are in countless of other games that are genuinely empty, so I get his sentiment. You can promised XYZ, but we won't know the true scope of these things until the game releases. Based on what we seen of the scope we need AT MINIMUM 100 variations of each of these things otherwise the game will feel empty because it all feels the same. Plus Bethesda is known for making promises that come true but lack the depth they imply. "You can climb that mountain... But if you dodge all the invisible walls and the lack of anything to actually explore/forage" or "You can build a settlement, but we didnt really give you much depth apart from making a cool looking but not functional base." I said the same thing about no man's sky when it launched. Even told my friend just wait till they update and now look where we're at with that game. People really don't get how absolutely amazing it is we're getting games like these I mean I'm 30 and if you showed me nms or star field when I was 15 my my mind would be blown. I wasn't blown away by what I was shown I was incredibly impressed by the amount of progress they made since last year though. But being locked at 30fps is a huge red flag to me as a PC player because 60 is the bare minimum I'll play an fps at and Bethesda has a rough history with PC optimization. With that being said I never give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt after fallout 76. The only exception I'll give to that rule is the combat because I'm pretty sure that was done by ID software(The makers of Doom eternal) their fingerprints are all over the weapon designs and functionality. That aspect looks incredible. The game has a gargantuan amount of potential that I truly hope they actually realize.

About Fable and Clockwork Revolution, both had gameplay in between cutscenes and cinematic trailers, but they were without hud, which is quite normal since the hud's generally is added at later stages, and they looked so good, that people thought they were CGI... And Aaron Greenberg said about FIRST-Party, and said no CGI, only gameplay, cinematics or in-engine footage, besides that Star Wars Outlaws and others were third-party, and that's not exactly something Xbox can totally control. And in-engine footage is way better than straight-up CGI, since at least you know what the game will really look like. Not like Spider-man 2 or Ghosts of Tsushima which the CGI was insanely better looking than the real game.
Honestly I turned this vid off after he tried to call out that hypocrisy...it wasn't really warranted and kinda lame...plus if you like the overall concept of one game over another what's the issue?? Weird to call that out but ok 🤷🏿
This showcase kind of turned me around. I was seriously skeptical about this game, and now I'm genuinely looking forward to it. I've stopped watching youtubers who tend to be more pessimistic and negative towards everything, it was like a poison and I don't miss it.
It's the right thing to do because it does taint your feelings and the shittyness of others opinions will rub off on you if you like it or not if all you do is surround yourself with people like that. When he said that Starfield is a generic space exploration game, it implies that he has played other similar games of that genre. Did he even played those games (Elite: Dangerous, No Man's Sky, EVE Online etc) to have a varied experience before coming to the conclusion that Starfield is generic compared to other space sims?
There wasn’t much gameplay trailers because, they were posted later individually, which is way better then clumping them together in one sitting. Starfield Starwars outlaws Assassins creed mirage Ect All got lengthy gameplay overviews compared to the usual 4-3 minute trailers we usually get

Ironically fable did include gameplay, like the protagonist when they threw that molotov or dodging Dave. It may have been only a few frames but i do believe that was actual gameplay. Clockwork like you said didn't have much gameplay either. Its also funny when he said Outlaws has no gameplay when at the end of the trailer it did state the following day at the ubisoft event, gameplay would be shown. Which it was.

I have never before in my entire life seen a showcase for a game that improved the favourability of so many sceptic people towards a game to such a degree.

I'm a fan of DreamcastGuy and enjoy his videos but that meme at the end did give me a laugh. Oh and Starfield looks amazing. The 1 hour showcase was just brilliant imo. I was getting classic Oblivion/Fallout 3 era Bethesda vibes which makes me very happy. I hope it becomes a classic!
If he wouldn't be such a pony and let Bethesda speak, they literally said in the direct that it shows important quest areas. You can literally avoid those, " barren planets " all you want. If you want to do the main story, you can, if you want to go off and explore you can. I don't understand, his body language especially told me that he was going to shit on Starfield no matter what they showed, they could give him a gold bar and he would still find some way to nitpick it because it's Xbox. If im not mistaken, the 1000s planets is only a way to give a sense of scale for a genuine space adventure journey. Beyond that, its not meant to be fully explored, as if that would be something we have time to do. Points of interest, such as cave, camps, settlements, etc created by hands , are all going to spawn for each of us, in diffirent location and time, on different planets around our point of landing , within distances that would be similar to that of a any other open world game that you would explore on a singular map.
He's right about the cinematic stuff. We have a loooot of cinematic these days and few gameplay footage each year. Starfield looks AMAZING but i don't trust the gaming industry anymore so I'll wait for it to release and then buy it if it's really good. Specially for PC, the recent releases were ridiculously bad for PC.

You know what is actually funny, they showed gameplay running all on the Series X in the Fable trailer. It just looked so good ppl thought it was all cinematic. That fire spell part in the forest was def gameplay. There was more real time gameplay but I'd have to look it up. With Dreamcast guy, look at his face while he's trashing Starfield. I love Playstation and used to be exclusively Xbox. I love their exclusives. I have a PS5. The Starfield reveal was so insanely solid that I am getting an Xbox. I have to play this.

Just gonna skip over all of the release years in those trailers? I realize that release years are subject to being pushed back, but the crux of the matter is that Xbox has a long slate of 1st party titles coming either this year or next year!!!
