DC is on a league of their own. Till this day, no other group has been able to copy their concept entirely .. The closest I can think of is G-Idle, but even then, their musical styles are different and their concept does change.
There are a few groups that have a song that's similar (Pink Fantasy - Fantasy, Purple Kiss - Love Skips a Beat) but no other group has this concept for their group as a whole

Yes there is a storyline. The next MV is the second part of this storyline, and then Fly High is a prequel where you find out what led to this. Then, You and I, WHAT and PIRI are sort of a second storyline still related to this one. Pay attention to the name of the albums as they are a clue to what's happening in the story. No other girl group does the same thing as Dreamcatcher, though Purple Kiss has a pop-rock-trap song, Rolling Quartz is a girl band that does rock songs but they haven't really debuted yet, Marmello used to be a girl band but they disbanded, NATURE has a MV that is horror, and 1nb did horror (if you choose to watch their MVs, I will warn you that their MVs are extremely graphic, so beware) in their MVs before they disbanded. There may be other groups (either gender) who do similar things to Dreamcatcher, but I know of none who mix hard rock, EDM, and K-pop and have music videos that do horror or fantasy. Edit: If you feel like having your mind blown, I would recommend watching Dreamcatcher's cover of "Oh My!" by Seventeen, since you were talking about how talented Dreamcatcher is.
u can find them easy on AMAZON & EBAY but they are a bit pricy espicaly the first 2 albums are around $1,000 and others range from $25 to $64 depending on speical edition ones are a bit higher but worth it because u get a lot of things included in each album , meaning their collectable items plus one E-BAY they have one concert t-shirt with a ticket from their world tour, and on AMAZON they have one with just the dreamcatcher and all the members name on it ...
I know that feeling, when you're too deep in the rabbit hole😂 tbh I don't listen to a lot of kpop group also. I used to like SNSD cause it's a crime not to know them if you're into kpop that time. 😁 After that I discovered HELLO VENUS. They're so talented as well but yeah fandom is not so big neither in Korea and international. (if you have free time you can check them by yourselves, I recommend GLOW) Sad to say after their disbandment I never wanna listen to kpop anymore but Dreamcatcher brought me back. Now for the first time I'm properly stan a group. Just like you, I did not follow them from their beginning of the journey. I accidentally discovered them through RU-vid and it was PIRI era. The storyline is that they are nightmares (fly high is a prequel that tells the story of how they ended up cursed to be that way and the mansion ended up being cursed) and the mansion/hotel has fallen into disrepair. the man is a nightmare hunter that comes to try and catch them. They haunt him, and he ends up catching them, which is why they are in the photo at the end.

I watched it without subtitles and by the end though that they were ghosts. Minx was a flirt group.whenever I see that concept I feel that the members are being wasted.
But is he really a bad guy? Here's just there trying to do his job, which is investigate paranormal activity at the hotel. Maybe he's there trying to figure out what happened to the girls. I mean, were the Ghostbusters bad guys? Seriously, though, good and bad is kind of subjective in this case. Just throwing that out there...
@@keithcraig506 first: the girls are not supposed to be ghosts but more specifically "nightmares" second: let's remember that there is no consistent story about anything related to Dreamcatcher and that there are more assumptions created by us the fans. Third, in my opinion they never were bad, they bother him because he goes to that place which Jiu closes so that nobody leaves or enters, there is no proof that someone has entered there before or that they have hired that guy, why catch something that is not hurting anyone? Other fans talk that he wanted to use her powers and that by catching them he could achieve that, they don't hurt him physically either, instead he goes around like the psychopath himself dragging an ax hahaha but as I said they are mere assumptions given from the video xD let's not take this too seriously
@@kimsnaps I understand that they are Nightmares, not ghosts. I used Ghostbusters as a tongue in cheek reference. Second, I also understand that the story has been left purposefully vague. This is why I stated that good and bad in this case is subjective. From the girls' perspective, he's the bad guy invading their space. From the hotels point of view, the girls could be considered the bad guys because they are 'haunting' the place and interfering in the hotel's business. From the investigator's viewpoint, it seems, at least to me, that he doesn't think of them as either good or bad. He's just their trying to figure out what's going on / what happened to the girls. As for "that place which Jiu closes so that nobody leaves or enters", obviously others are able enter or leave because here we have this guy who obviously entered the building. The prevailing theory is that a) JiU closed to the gate to symbolically lock the girls and the curse within the confines of the boarding school. After some time someone bought the boarding school and tried to turn it into a hotel. Finding that the place was haunted, the new owner hires the investigator in the hopes of ridding the premises of the 'ghosts' that are haunting the place. Again, I know that the details of the story have all been purposefully left vague and that most of this is based on theory and assumption. Like I said in my original comment, "I'm just throwing it out there" for consideration.
