"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius.

Bonvoyage is the final part of their Apocalypse trilogy, which is about humanity’s destructive nature and the damage we've done to our planet through pollution and war. So, in the context of the story, Bonvoyage is a love letter to Earth as what is left of humanity must leave in order to let it heal. One of my favorite lines in the song is "Every cell in me is drawn to you. Even if we're a little apart, we're together." That is Gravity. Even if we leave the planet, Earth's gravity would still pull on us, beckoning us back home. It's a very bittersweet song and the whole EP is structured like a breakup letter. The Intro is called "From Us", like how you start a letter to someone, and the final song is called "To. You". Even the songs themselves carry the themes of that loss and coming to terms with it. Bonvoyage is the bittersweet goodbye, Demian is anger and confusion at the situation, Propose is the bargaining, and "To. You" is the acceptance and realization that what they had all along was all that they needed. It's honestly my favorite album from them on a conceptual level because it's so well structured. It's also the only album in their discography where every song has rock influences. Unfortunately, they're not very popular in Korea. Rock has a bit of a bad reputation in Korea due to an incident that happened on live TV several decades ago. Due to what happened stations refused to air rock groups. This led to the general public in Korean to either not have a taste for rock music or to view it unfavorably, though that is changing slowly it seems. More and more K-Pop groups have begun to experiment with the sound and there are a few pretty popular K-Rock bands in the country. When Dreamcatcher debuted in 2017 though, they were definitely one of a kind and no other K-Pop groups (that I'm aware of) have tried the rock concept as their core sound. Thankfully though, Dreamcatcher found a lot of fans internationally and while they'll never be as big as groups like BTS, Blackpink, some of the new 5th Gen groups, their fanbase is extremely loyal and always shows up to support them when they have a new comeback. Speaking of comebacks, their new EP will be dropping on July 10th with the title track Justice.

Dreamcatcher is very diverse and that's why I love them. Maybe you get to B-sides in the future maybe not but they have a wide range of musical styles when you get into their albums. The Goddesses crush them, however they come too late and the environment collapses, killing Mother Earth. The Goddess of Fate (Gahyeon) draws the Death Card. The planet becomes a wasteland. Gravity gets twisted, strange electromagnetic phenomena ravage the planet. The Apocalypse is here. In Part 2 Vision, the Apocalypse has happened and it brought War. Men pursue their vision of Victory. The Goddesses however devise their own plan to save Humanity and restore Earth. They announce their Vision to the World: "For your bright tomorrow, and this beautiful place, for ourselves. Give it up tonight". Then they deploy energy barriers around Human habitats, throughout the World, trapping humans inside. In Part 3, Bon Voyage, time has passed. Nature starts to heal. The Divine Vision is revealed: Humans must live separate from Nature, and so they say Bon Voyage to their Mother Earth. A bittersweet goodbye. In their absence, life starts returning to the planet. Plants, insects, animals, all return. The Goddesses use their Pokemon-looking creatures called Cellies, to fix the damage to the environment. The Goddess of Fate draws the Six of Swords, which means journey, transition and healing. In the end, after more time has passed, the Goddesses takes down the energy barriers and a lush green paradise Earth is revealed around.
