Going to try to answer all your questions The 2 mics is like you think they came from performing BOCA with the coreography and after this they sing anotherone with coreography, so to not lost time they keep the headmic, but for break the wall they used the stand mic,they do the same if they sing a Balad where they are sit. Yes here they are still Six, the seven member,Handong just came back last week, so almost all the new content from them from now it will be 7. And almost everything from a year ago and olders things They are not "new", dreamcatcher has 3 and half years, and 5 of the members are working for almost 6 years, because before dreamcatcher they were "Minx " (you have to check out "love shake" and "why did you come to my home?" To understand how different are now with dreamcatcher) And finally in November 7th the will have an online concert all the 7 members and it will have a live band. They're harmonising with themselves 😂😂 usually there's always a backup track for showcase or livestages. They record the sound of their live singing beforehand. That's why you hear it echoes 😁 Bro D was right. The ear mic was off when they singing. Usually they use ear mic for dance song. Next online concert will have live band tho with all 7 members
I believe in this case it's more of a mic effect than a backing track. If you listen to the studio version you will hear the same harmonizing effect, which means it was done on purpose.
they're not new fresh out of the gate. most of the girls 5 have been together since '14 as a group Minx, adding 2 new members to be rebranded as Dreamcatcher in '17
The vast majority of Kpop groups normally don't perform with a live band except on special concerts or tours. What you hear is the backing track for the music and layered or backing vocals not directly performed. The performed vocals may also be included in the backing track however their level can be anywhere from full volume to lower so the performed vocals take focus or fully removed. This really depends on the song/performance. If there's a full dance performance going on the vocal level may be higher in the backing track to help cover any instances where the dance interferes with singing the vocal properly. How this is mixed varies from group to group and even depending on where groups perform. Some music shows are known to let the live vocals through more and some insist on higher vocals in the backing track because they always want a perfect sound performance. This is all not to be confused with lip syncing where people don't really sing at all. In general the groups are always singing whenever they're allowed.
I think it's just a matter of budget that they couldn't have a live band.... UNTIL THE NEXT ONLINE CONCERT! They will finally perform with full band in their own concert. You should try and order your ticket ;)
The 7th member is Handong; she's already back with them in Korea, and now with the full group back together again, the 7 of them are going to have an online concert with a live band on November 7th. And yeah they have the head mic? Because they just finished performing Boca before they did Break the wall if i remember well.. They have had concert aroudn the world already but they are just like other kpop groups they specialize in dancing and singing more than performance with live bands and stuff. But they have done it a few times before. The 1st time they performed with a live band was back in 2017 (the same year they debuted) in a rock festival and the 2nd one was a special clip "Mayday" (one of their songs) with a live band made by fans (InSomnias). Re: the Megaphone they probably Turned the Volume Down and Most of them Most of the time are Singing Off Direct Center of the Stand Mic., they also could be switching between the Headphone and Stand Mic during those parts using the Megaphone. Lastly they could of made the adjustments you talked about during the Sound Check if Done Properly. Lastly Dreamcatcher Debuted in Jan. 13th 2017 so they are actually 3 years Old Now. But in Reality they are even older than that as 5 of the members Debuted Originally as a more Typical Bubble Gum Pop Mid 2000s K-Pop Girl Group back in 2014-15ish know as Minx. For those 5 members their contracts will soon expire unless they choose to extend/renew their contracts (Btw A Typical K-Pop Contract these days is 7 years long). They had several mics, because they had a showcase and played several songs. And the songs with dancing / choreography they used the mics that are attached near their mouths. They used the megaphones because in the recorded song they also sounded kinda muffled and they used it to sound like that live. And why you probably heard harmonizing even if just 1 person was singing. In Korea they oftentimes also use backing tracks even if they sing live. (ok not just there but also in the west and depends on the artist).
i got some answers to your questions. I heard that they upcoming streaming live concert on the 7th of November will be with a live band, so i'm looking forward to that. The mic on their cheeks are because that performance was part of a full come back vlive show, and they even had a host, that was their talking mic when they not performing (if i'm remembering correctly), its just kept on throughout the whole event. But also note that every K-pop group wear those mics on their cheeks, so its more of a custom, sometimes its used sometimes its just for the aesthetics. But if you listen carefully they are actually singing live on that stage. And yes its cus of the pandemic is why there is no croud, thats why its done on their vlive channel. I think i've covered what your questions was, i might have forgotten any others lol. OH yea, the 7th member wasn't back yet on the day of this shoot. She will be part of the live upcoming concert.
The reason why there's only 6 of them here is because HanDong was still not back during this performance. It was only recently that HanDong came back like two weeks ago. Also Dreamcatcher mayday, it's a song that they performed with a live band(which was their fans)
Handong , their 7th member is Chinese . She wasn't able to participate in this last comeback because she got stuck in China due to covid 19 while taking place in a music show there. She just came back to Korea a few days ago so we'll see her in the next comeback.
On november 7th they will have their 2nd online concert on MyMusicTaste and it will have a live band and all 7 members will be there since the 7th member finaly came back from China and she even released her first solo song called "First light of dawn"
For the promotion from this video, the 7th member have not came back. But she has just came back to Korea. This song does not have any Choreo and yes, about their outfits, they did perform a song, Boca, which has choreos.
Dreamcatcher aren't actually harmonizing in most of their songs. This is done for practical reasons. They are performance orientated. Because of their intense dancing in very fast songs, the stamina demands are enormous. So by taking turns, they give a chance to take a breather and have each take turns delivering the lines. It would be much better with harmonization, as they've proved many times over, but you can't have everything. And yes, they don't dance in this song, but it was written that way, to accommodate a choreography.
Yes handong is still being held captive in China. She was sold to YG after Deja Vu came out and she was participating in a survival show there. and the pandemic kept her from returning. :(

Im not 100% sure that its gonna be them, i hope so that would be lit! This is probably gonna be the best DC concert i ever saw, last time they had a concert over 150k ppl were watching it but now im sure its gonna be over 200k. One member was in China... Handong returned to Korea a few weeks ago and had to be quarantined for 14 days and has finally come out of confinement.... Dreamcatcher is gearing up for their second Dystopia: Seven Spirits online concert, which will take place in November. The girls will be accompanied by a live band and are scheduled to host the event on November 7 at 10 p.m. KST. Dreamcatcher plans to collaborate once again with MyMusicTaste, a state-of-the-art platform that provides the recently added online streaming feature. Well Handong has been stuck in China for 1 year and they have a lots of stuff like comeback and other things to do at that time so that's why there's a lot of videos/pictures where Handong is not in it, but don't worry from now on we will get more Handong because she's back! And they're going to do a online concert with 7 of them (+live band) so just wait for it 👍 also Handong also just recently back in Korea so she's still need time to catch up (like song recording, choreography, etc) with everyone so please wait for it😊
Handong already knows all the choreo, she practiced while she was in China and also when she was in quarantine. So she's up-to-date. Now they are practicing for the concert. And on November 6 they will do the sound check online.
@@rudyvanimmerzeel1675 I mean I know she has learned all the choreo and has already done most of the stuff now but learning it alone while she's in China and doing it with the rest of the member is different, because even if you know where you should go on when you practice alone, doing it with other people will have a possibility to bump on each other and stuff. I believe that our Handong is good at dancing and I'm not saying that she's slow at learning because stuff that I said earlier happens to a lot of people. My point is they said that they haven't seen Handong yet in videos that they reacted yet and I just want to say that she's just back recently and of course she needs to rest first and by catch up I mean like doing the practice together with the rest of member so that's why we still haven't got any content (except for vlog) with Handong yet
Guys, great channel!. I'm also a metalhead but I love music in general, quality music. I started listening to K-Pop in the last quarter of 2019 and I haven't stopped since. The genre is so diverse, I mean there's a color for everyone. In my case I love Dreamcatcher's music a lot and of course BLACKPINK's, but also a couple or maybe three more groups that I think are extremely interesting and unique musically speaking. I'd like you to check them out and react to their music if possible. Beginning with the first and in my opinion the most interesting since they write their own music is (G)I-DLE, starting from their debut song "LATATA." All of their songs are incredible!. Then the next group is CLC, with "Hobgoblin" and then "ME". And last but no least KARD, the only successful co-ed group in K-POP, they also self produce some of their songs. I would recommend starting with "Dumb Litty" or "Bomb Bomb". Have fun!

the only thing in kpop that i dont really like is the back track sound..sometimes it louder than their actual voice.. other people might think they are lipsync..
tbh, not sure how much live singing is there even, they all have megaphones but sometimes it sounds as if theres no effect of it . hm.. probably half-playback.
