A heart of sunflower is their best ballad so far (at least for me...). The song is about someone who couldn't move on from a broken relationship, still faithful to the end...like a sunflower always facing the sun
It's one of my favorite songs from them... I've had that song on repeat ever since I heard it. It's so beautiful, and I love how soft and pretty their voices are in this one ❤
I want to suggest Handong's medley special clip. Handong sings snippets of some of DC's song in Chinese version. She starts with "heart of a sunflower" first and omg it's ❤bliss❤ to my ears! I usually listen to Chinese songs for soothing calm vibes and Handong does it justice.
Jiu in this album is MVP, you can tell how much she feels the album in her voice. For the next album, all the solos has special clips, you should check them out because the members were envolved in everything.

Jiu's voice in this album was everything, as you said, the MVP! She literally suits the softer songs so much! I hope her solo is a similar style, but I'll enjoy it either way hahaha
Dreamcatcher has so many great ballads, but A Heart of Sunflower is for sure in my top2. My favorite B-side from this album is Alldaylong because I love citypop (as does Jiu) and she really served us a great citypop with that song. So, we are getting the second full album for the next reaction, right? I'm super excited! Tbh, it's not so full of bangers as the first full album, but having the solo songs makes it so interesting and special

I was so close to buying this one first, the cover is so pretty, but I ended up buying the next one! I am so in love with every song, so there is a possibility I buy this one too hahaha
jiu is such a lovely person she can always deliver her feelings so good in every song you can tell in whistle and alldaylong but in this one (a heart of sunflower) she shine the most, i’m also waiting for your reaction to “Always” but the showcase version😭 is so much pain

Despite this being a "softer" sound for DC It's still a great album and their vocals really shine on all of the songs. A Heart of Sunflower always hits me the that way too.

I will throw hands for alldaylong. It's so damn good. And the electric guitar in Heart of a Sunflower... just that warm nostalgic feeling that I miss so much.

Jiu empezó a cantar y yo morí hahaha ME ENCANTA esta canción y sus voces son maravillosas! No puedo no mencionar a Handong cada vez que abre la boca hahaha Me encanta su tono de voz. A heart of Sunflower would be a top ballad from me, but the compression on the vocals just makes it sound too muddy for my ears. Whistle's choreo is pretty cool with the props. I was performed at the 2021 and 2022 Halloween concerts. Best ballad. The lyrics lose some of their power in translation, but in Korean they're devastating especially in the final line. There's an empty space at the end of the line. The word that is expected is joa (it's fine, it's good, it's OK) as in the previous line, but it's not there and it's jarring. The implied meaning is that the singer is so faithful that they don't need to say it's fine if the lover doesn't come back for a long time. They will wait, forever if necessary.
