A.B. diamonds are a special diamond with a special glow. They make your canvas sparkle. I love them.

Hi Sherry. I just got an email from Diamond Painting Shoppe that the Mucha I ordered back in August is on its way! I did The Moon and there were 6 ABs. The black ABs are my favorite. They look like stars in the night sky. 🌌🌠

Diamond arts is the Cadillac of diamond painting. With dreamer designs running a very close second in my opinion. It's nice to see the options however as a Canadian I have faster shipping by far from diamond arts. Thus the reason I generally buy from there. Where dreamer designs has my Canadian content I like

I agree. I am also working on Haunted from diamond art club and the drills are blinding! But they are manufactured in-house so BRAVO for DAC,it makes all the difference when you have that control. I thought Dreamer Designs was a new company but they've been around a few years and are ironing out the bumps they had along the road, which I really appreciate and will support. ❤️

I am a new diamond painter, July 2023, and my first paintings were from DAC so I was kind of ruined for anything else! The shipping to Australia is also super fast and relatively cost effective which is also a huge incentive to buy from them. I have 2 paintings from Dreamer Designs that I bought in my initial buying frenzy and I find them to be not quite as excellent as DAC but pretty close. I have 2 paintings from Oraloa as well and have just started working on one, a square. So far I am loving it! The drills are lovely with no more trash than DAC and a very tight drill field requiring little in the way of straightening. DACs overall quality, speed and cost of shipping, as well as their excellent rewards program mean they will likely stay my number one, I will definitely order from both DD and Oraloa in future if I want a particular painting they stock.

Hello and welcome! I am doing an update on Lilac that I think you will appreciate. Are there duamond paintings in Australia? It is a huge incentive, I hear this a lot with diamond painters from Australia and Canada, plus DAC is consistently dropping new art, which is a blessing and a curse lol. I am developing a stash! You have one of my favorite designers in Australia, Jane Davenport, and I wish she would license her art into a diamond painting! ❤️

I love Jane Davenports art! I wonder if she has ever been approached to licence her art for diamond paintings - they would be amazing! Rose Profitt Designs are Australian-based and have some stunning diamond painting designs 🥰. And yes, DAC are marketing geniuses - their ability to generate FOMO is legendary 😂😂. I will be watching your Lilac vlogs with interest ❤

Jane is amazing. She got me drawing again. Her friend Tamara does have licensed artwork with DAC, but it is too much like Jane's. I want Jane, lol. It was so nice meeting you and chatting !

Hello! First time tuning in. Once you work on the DD rounds they do look ok. DAC is better quality tho! Nice to meet you

Nice to meet you ! DAC is better but I am really taking my time and love watching this canvas unfold. She's so pretty. Next is Crimson from DD. I hope their squares are kind 😀 🤞 ❤️

I just recently finished Hazel by the same artist from Dreamer Designs. I have Lilac as well. The diamonds place very well and the stick on the canvas is amazing. I personally always enhance canvases, so the diamonds that come with the more round tops make all the enhancements pop out wonderfully. Also the kits have a lot of ABs so that more domed look of the more flat colored diamonds makes those ABs sparkle like crazy.

Oh yes I agree. I have to look up Hazel because I really like this artist. I have Crimson for the Jingle Drills, event starting in November with Lindsey @emeraldsandfairydust and that one is a square. I did have to take a breath and reaccess how I was approaching this canvas. I don't like comparative standards and I am glad I took and breath, and slowed down because now I really love this canvas. ❤️

I am not dyslexic and I had problems with confusing symbols that are the same chart numbers so they don’t line up. It’s a big problem with the cheap kits because the boxes are labeled by chart but then you have to look for the symbol number - so easy to get confused!!

The worst are the ones that use numbers that are the same number as the symbol, and then it switches after like number 6. 🤪 I made such a mess out of one kit, I didn't even finish it, but that was a cheap kit from a no-name company. Lilac is Dreamer Design, and their pricing is competitive with other major diamond painting companies for sure, so I expected more. Crimson, which is like the sister to Lilac... all the arrow symbols were in one spot! 🤪😆. I love a challenge, but come on! I have 2 more DD canvases to unbox and 1 is from a different artist. I will include this observation of symbols in the video when I do the unboxing 😀 Thanks Lauren!

@@ElisaMariaDesigns I did a Dreamer designs snack size and ran into that problem too. I had to move a few diamonds around because I caught myself early in the mistake - but I don’t understand why a number symbol won’t match the chart symbol. It’s a very very easy fix to an annoying mistake. Diamond Art Club is good about that.

@@TheLauren1113 I agree. That is why they are the gold standard. ❤️

DMC doesn't name their colors. Companies and individuals that use the colors in their products and/or sell DMC products are free to assign names to them, but DMC only refers to them by number (with exceptions of black, white, and ecru). So, the names will vary depending on the source you find for it. I believe that book, while very useful, is not an official DMC publication. It doesn't have their logo on it.

Hi Winterzee. I have been a counted cross stitcher for years. And yes designers actually change the names of the floss colors for their designs. Sometimes they keep the original DMC name that is given to that number by DMC but majority of the time, the designers will change the names of the colors to fit what they like. In addition, Lordlibidancom posted information that DMC posted a list of names accidentally. I believe this is was from 2013. It is all so confusing. I wish I could put a screenshot but it is on Lordlibidan site. I also use Camelia.sk website. It seems to me that there is an “official” unofficial color chart that is mainstream now, even tho, DMC does have a color chart with names but will not admit to having one. Why, I do not know. I have looked at multiple sites when doing my kit up and the names are 99% the same. I wanted to make it easier for my subscribers to get an idea of the color because what I am seeing, what the camera is seeing, how the drill comes across in the video and what the subscriber is watching my kit up on are all variables to what is actually coming across to the viewer. Thanks for the comment. I enjoyed the added information for those who are curious. Elisa
