That crazy retired Air Force flight Surgeon up in Portland who wants to end the Blue Angels due to noise and environment can just pucker up and kiss my ass.

I'm always proud to know I served in our country's military, and sometimes I forget how great we really are. A video like this reminds me how great my country really is and how proud I am of all my fellow active duty and veteran Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Coasties.

And that's today's example of why the United States is the greatest country on Earth.

Van Halen’s Dreams and The Blue Angels continue to be the perfect pairing.

I was 19 when this song came. To this day, i can't listen to it without the imagery of The Blue Angels playing in my mind.

Best footage I've ever seen of the Blue Angels. It has to have been done by the team who made the film for IMAX and Amazon. Incredible.

My uncle lives in calf he use to designs flight patterns for the blue angels he’s retired now but those pilots are all over his house on the walls and signed but as much as he respects their ability they also put their life’s in his hands when they fly those shows,, but always liked looking at those pics and the admiration they had for eachother!!!! The jets are getting insane now,,.

Enjoyed this, thanks! Though I love the Super Hornet, and it's beautiful here, count me as one who thinks the A4 version is still the best. Can't put a finger on it with certainty, but I think part of it is that the short/stubby A4 airframe looks better in close formations and interactions in this role than the long/skinny Hornet and Super Hornet. But I have to say- that formation break starting at 3:43 may just be the most breathtaking thing I've ever seen any aircraft or demo team do. I thought so when I watched the original film, and seeing it here just confirms it.

Awesome. This is a very well done remake. I remember loving the original as a teen when it came out back in '86. Later, when I had little kids, I used to play the video for them on a regular basis and they would all dance around the living room. To this day my four adult children refer to this as "The Airplane Song."

Best video of the Blues I've seen in a long time, if not ever. Especially with them in the Super Hornets. The slow motion and vapor add so much. Always loved the original but this is definitely an improvement. Navy vet here.

I don't care is the Blue Angels are a non-combat unit, flying the way these aviators do is the purest form of piloting.

people can try to talk sh!t about this all they want, but I have been a life long Van Halen fan. My father served in the NAVY. Having an updated version of this iconic song's video is an amazing thing and the cinematography from the iMax cameras is incredible. only now do we have the ability with the visuals to match what the original video gave people. I'd just hope the members of the band get to see this at some point. I think they'd love it.

Nicely done! I grew up with the original and it will always have a place in my heart. There have been a few attempts to update this over the years but this one by far is the cream of the crop. Thanks for this!

My dad shot film of the Blue Angels in the 50s, He was a LT(jg) and a pilot, but he was also a cinematographer. He said they had cameramen in 3 aircraft and a camera ship in the air overlying the squadron. Then they would process all the film from 5 or 7 cameras and then sit and watch them and decide where to make cuts. They'd ask my dad, is this a good time to make the cut? And he would say yeah, or give him 5 seconds to recover then cut it. They'd take all these films and cut and splice them into 3 different movies each cut for a different audience.

They've been in my town twice. Once I was driving down the street and one flew in front of me. Felt like he was on my jeep roof. I could see the pilot well.

The original one was with A-4 Skyhawks.Van Halen released Dreams with the A-4s on MTV.The old one has a 6 ship diamond formation landing.The Blues don't do that anymore.

Dear Navy, may I suggest "resto-moding" an F-4 Phantom, or 2 for Blue Angeles? Maybe bad-ass retired guys to join the current folks? You wanna see airshow peeps go f____ crazy? Refit the F-4 for position #6 & #7 B.Angels. Thank you for your service.

Great video! This NEVER gets old! The promotions person that came up w/ the idea of using Dreams in the 50th Anniversary salute and subsequently making it the Blue Angels unofficial theme song was a stroke of absolute marketing genius! For anyone who hasn't seen the latest documentary on Amazon Prime it's well worth the time! Excellently produced and I'm just sorry I didn't get a chance to see it in an IMAX theater. Still a treat on a HD / 4K tv though. Oddly enough they don't use this song in the movie? Not sure if it was b/c they couldn't get the rights or they just wanted to produce something completely new, but it's a great watch regardless!
