After a huge success of PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH, Dreamworks has yet another masterpiece coming out this summer and it’s time to witness the kraken versus the mermaid. Sorry, not that mermaid. I mean this mermaid because she will be the villain. But the concept and some of the scenes from the trailer seem familiar. Because honestly, I feel like this movie is a combination of TURNING RED and LUCA. Ruby Gillman being the kraken is just like Mei being a red panda and Luca being a sea monster. And when the mermaid transforms into this giant mythical creature, it reminds me of Ming transforming into her giant panda form. But overall, this movie looks cool and exciting. And I just can’t wait to watch it this summer.

Someone told me that mermaids lure people by singing and once they fall in love, the mermaids drown them, so I can see why this movie has a mermaid as a villain 👍 (Edit: I'm sorry for getting mermaids and sirens mixed up, someone told me they were mermaids and I didn't even know WHAT a siren was ;-;

The creator made httyd and this is an original idea from dreamworks so even more excitement from me. I really don’t care what people have to say about it because it’s Worth waiting for when DreamWorks has made a lot of tear jerkers and a good story. Disney’s problem is they’ve gotten bad at storytelling and it’s sad because I grew up on as much Disney as I did DreamWorks.

@@movielover7565 Please it’s DreamWorks being good at storytelling and it looks a lot more interesting then Luca and turning red No offense towards people who liked it the animation in those movies was stunning but the story felt unfinished and questionable. But I have high hopes for this film it seems unique having a mermaid as a villain is actually what they are there sirens that k#ll sailors. It just strikes me different when you’re just amazed by the twist of that. But you have you’re own opinion that’s fine.

I personally prefer they just created a new black character rather than changing already exist white character to black. Not every country is US, not everyone love the idea of showing lgbtq agenda to a kid show, that's why disney got called woke nowadays. For you it's okay, but for me it's not okay. This is basically what happened out there, lot of people love the idea and lot of people hate it. And yeah i think it's save to say, there's more people hate on that idea, that's why such show like Light year flops just because they won't get rid of the lgbtq agenda scene by showing a lesbian couple. And in Ariel if you saying the singing, well... A white female singer is quite a lot yes? Idk, i just find it weird, and i also feels bad for the actress, she just doing the role and got bullied by the majority of the internet. This is why i don't think it's good idea to swap race like that.

I would love to read a Ruby and Luca fanfiction. It would be about Ruby's family would going on an Italian vacation and meet Luca's family and friends. They would get to know each other and have fun. Ruby would even take Luca and Alberto on an ocean adventure like true friends would do. They would even have a heart to heart conversation, sharing each other's stories and differences. But when Ruby is captured by an evil scientist, Luca and everyone would have to work together to save her. The story would tell that heroes are not determined by their size, but it is what is inside of them that makes them heroes, and friendship comes in all sizes.

DreamWorks has a good rep of making villains stay as villains. For this reason I can't wait to see how it plays. Sure the Kraken is going through growing pains and we'd seen this plot done a million times but how they are twisting this. Mermaid is a villain and uses her skills to cause destruction and hope no redeeming qualities.
