In this video, I will do a quick review of the Dremel 8220. I must say that I have really enjoyed using the Dremel 8220. Especially for tasks where the power cable would be in the way.
In some aspects, I prefer the Dremel 8220 over corded models like the Dremel 4000, 3000, 4300, and similar. It is just so handy to pick it up and use it anywhere and not have to think about where the closest power socket is.
The most important takeaway I got from making this video is that:
- The Dremel 8220 is about equal in power to the Dremel 4000
- The charging time is about 1 Hour - 1.5 Hours
- The battery will last at least 25 Minutes of heavy use (More with lighter tasks)

Great in-depth review, showing the runtime in heavy use. My opinion if you're going to go cordless is go right for the Dremel 8260, being brushless the battery is going to last a lot longer, also you get much more power than ANY corded Dremel model, plus you CAN use Bosch 12v batteries with the 8260, which means you can put a larger 6aH on and get the best performance. Me personally I use the Milwaukee M12 rotary tool the most, because I own dozens of batteries for it. It is also extremely powerful and does not bog down.

Thanks :) yeah, I need to get my hands on the 8260. It would be interesting to test out the difference to the 8260. Milwaukee seems like a great brand to be invested in, too bad we don't really have it here in Norway. Thanks for the helpful input.

Which Dremel rotary model comes with the universal chuck?😁

Hi. Most of the models do not come with the universal chuck. You have to buy it seperate. It was included with my Stylo+ 2050 somehow though.

Hello, Would you know the difference between the 8220 and 8240 models? I am in the market for a cordless (w/removable battery) rotary tool. Thanks and very well done video. Phil

Hi. I would highly recommend getting the 8250 or 8260 instead of the ones you mentioned. The 8250 and 8260 are brushless, have more power and the battery lasts longer. :)

@@rotarycrafts8760Thanks a lot for the great information! I wish they made these cordless units (with removable batteries) a little smaller. I have an older cordless Dremel Multipro 7.2 volt and for working on HO model trains it was a perfect size. It is about 40% smaller than the current models and has a removable battery as well. I definitely want removable batteries so I can buy extras as usually that is what dies on these cordless units....Thanks! Phil

It comes with the 1/8 collet. I think the 3/32 has to be bought seperately.

Battery life is dissapointment and I have exact same problem, with turning on. Also, the box, witch it came in, is total dissapointment.
