First quilt I ever made was a Dresden plate. 30+ years ago, still my favorite!

Me too lol! Not even sure why, I just thought it was cool. I made a queen size quilt of them with blue flowered fabric that looked like blue willow dishes

This was such an interesting tutorial. Dresden plate is a favorite pattern of mine and has so many various patterns, very versatile. Thanks so much.

Great job making this block and runner tutorial very easy to understand. I always get confused on ending the binding so this video will be a great reminder.

Enjoyed this tutorial very much. Very informative. I have never made a Dresden plate but I will now! Also, I like how you connect the ends on the binding. I will be using this tutorial again!

Loved your tutorial. Hadn’t thought about using charm squares to make desden plate and appliqué them on a block. Plan to do this soon.

Colleen, thank you for this tutorial. I love your tutorials. Really enjoyed! I'm going to try and make one. Thank you for showing how you do the binding. I always struggle with my bindings; it's terrible everytime I try. Also, may I ask what kind of long arm you have? Thank you again. Lots of fun learning. I love your tutorials.❤ beautiful table runner

Did you put any interfacing on the background squares before appliquing the dresdens?
@StitchingWithTheSisterlies
@StitchingWithTheSisterlies 4 месяца назад
No, didn’t need to with this fabric at least. Everything laid flat with no puckers or issues

Also I just appliqued the circle as well as the tops of the Dresdens. I did t go all the way down the blades with applique.
