Thank you for this encouraging video! Please give us more of these videos featuring the petite rounded hourglass! I think we are quite a common figure type!
Absolutely love this new body shape terminology, “ Petite Rounded Hourglass”! This term defines so many of us. I used to be a petite hourglass until my late forties, but then slowly with gradual weight gain I became more rounded, but definitely not an Apple shape. I hope the fashion industry soon accepts this new body type terminology.❤
Everywhere I go- there are blouses that are styled so that when I wear it, I look pregnant! They’re right at my breast’s, then flare down. I’m a curvy petite. I hate how when a style is in fad, it dominates stores and it’s impossible to find other styles for all bodybshapes.
I am 5'3" and curvy. I love you put someone with an hourglass figure I liked all the ideas except I didn't like the cropped pants with a tunic top..putting the dress helped. It might have been ok with a more fitted shirt. It's remarkable how the navy dress being solid gave her a really great shape. Thanks for giving us vertically challenged curvy girls a video. I won't buy cropped pants because my husband hates them on anyone.
Petite rounded hourglass! That’s what I am! So glad to see it. I knew I wasn’t an Apple because my waist is the smallest even though I’m ver weight and have a lower tummy. I look a lot like Kathy. I need things that skim my curves because I do have them. That first good outfit is my uniform. Tee, jeans, and slightly cropped denim jacket
At 5 feet 1 inch I bought 5 pairs of Crops from Magazines. Neutrals and Colors. Most of my Autumn pants, Winter Jackets, T Shirts are Landsend. The Length is just above the ankle so not bad with Sandals or Loafer. Not good with Clunky Running Shoe. I have Denim Leggings for those. I bought my first Denim Jacket at 62 😊 White and very pale Blue, I didn't want to look "Country" or like a Farmer 😂 🎉❤
Can I just add that it would have been good to emphasise that pointed shoes also help to make legs look longer. Even us 5ft ladies vary in torso/leg proportions, so anything to give the illusion of longer legs is helpful. I also think that tops that extend below the crotch area tend to make legs look shorter, so was not too keen on the white ensemble, especially with the wider pants. Loosely fitting tops and bottoms worn together are not flattering to petites either. I am British size 12 ( US size 8) hourglass and it took me a while to work out why some outfits looked wrong. No longer baggy tops for me ever again!
What a perfect video‼I am also 4ft 11ins . Nearly 70‼I too am finding my own personsl style at a mature age. I think until this video I didn't even realize my body shape!! Next time I would y like you to please feature video with skirts instead of trousters.
Discovering your style as you go is so much fun! We’re so pleased you found this segment worthwhile! Yes, we will try to feature more skirts as they become available. ❤️
Lovely video, I’m 5’6”and hourglass shaped, it’s so difficult to get clothes that make you look and feel good about yourself, fed up of wearing baggy shirts and leggings any tips would be greatly received thanks 🙏🏴
Hello Mair, May we invite you to watch another hourglass video featuring a model with a slightly taller height than yours. It could offer some valuable advice as to what shapes and proportions to look for. It’s always exciting…and, a little scary, to change our personal style, you go girl!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vb4eikgYMss.html
@@ShepherdsFashions1 thanks for this video lovely clothes that look great 👍 I would appreciate some tips on hiding our wobbly bits around the waist and bingo wings please 😂😂
I don’t do horizontal stripes! Wide leg pants make my legs look even shorter. I sew all my clothes so I’m lucky I don’t have to try to find them in a store.
I never wear horizontal stripes unless over shoulder area. Also, I wear same colour top & bottom of body with same colour shoes to add length. 5 feet tall, slight pear shape. Thanks for great video. Do you have video for petite pear shapes?
Hello J. P., as it turns out we do have such a segment. Rosa is pear shape from the waist down, and does have a broad shoulder line. Watch the segment here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3UJ7DsLvXeA.html
@@ShepherdsFashions1 thank you so much! I love every piece Astrid wore. My shape is close to hers but I’m tall and a little short waisted. I think I’m a blend between a pear and a soft hourglass. But I think every silhouette would work on me but I also see things on Elaine and think they would work too. I appreciate the tips. I ordered the Sympli dress on preorder in the stripe. Excited to get it.
Really enjoyed this informative video.. however, I am 5’10” curvy hourglass so would love it if you could do a video for my criteria another time.. Thank you to all at shepherds for doing such a fantastic job & helping all us ladies to look good - we appreciate all your hard work… Thank you xx
