Yvonne and Chris, what you did with this cabinet is wonderful! It deserved to have dedicated people like you bring it back to its best life 😍 Sorry to ask but if there's a typo do you want to know?
I remember hearing a story about the Amish quilt makers. It's said they always have one mistake or error in every quilt they make because there's only One Perfect.🙏
Funny thing is.. someone said I misspelled traveling.. but spellcheck said that traveling did not have two letter L’s. But spell didn’t catch the equestrian miss spell. And it will be what it is. Am I happy about it. Nope. But there it is. Trying to fix it would ruin it. Human I am. Mistake and all. I guess Gods way of keeping me humble.
Yvonne! That piece is absolutely gorgeous!!! Your work and attention to detail is inspiring. I hope whoever bought this piece totally appreciates it's beauty!!!
Out of all the things I've seen you flip, this really is the best piece of all! I love old spool cabinets and the specialized cabinets of menswear haberdashery cabinets and this is excellent! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is SO good, what a great makeover. Aren't the Howard finishes just heavenly to use? They make so many nice products - always use these. They also don't cost a million dollars... 🤣
Yvonne and Chris, I literally smiled during the whole video. My heart is happy! Thank you for taking such good care of the piece of furniture that belonged to my mom. You did not disappoint me. Thank you, thank you!
Oh my goodness. This has to be my favorite makeover. It’s absolutely amazing. Would buy this in a heartbeat if I lived close by. You and Chris do such a phenomenal job….you are truly gifted. ❤❤❤
Here’s a tip for cutting out smaller wording on the Cricut and not having it shred. Put the cutting setting on ‘Copy Paper’ and decrease the cutting pressure. I hope that helps you my friend!❤ Edit: The dresser came out gorgeous!!😍🥰
I LOVE IT! You and Chris should go into the "Hall of Fame" for furniture flippers!! Your visions amaze me. I learn so much from you and your hubby. THANK YOU for sharing your talent.
What an amazing job you all did on this cabinet! I would be snatching this up if I lived close by! I love how well you redo things, your attention to detail and your patience is amazing!! ❤
YES, I am very much inspired by this piece and your work. I'm on SSD but have. BA in Art and refinished furniture years ago. I tried to get back into it again. I see all these women doing it BUT until I started getting furniture I didn't realize that most women have a "man" to help w heavy stuff and made my back problem worse. I am hoping for a spinal cord stimulator to help me get back into it. So thank you for helping me get inspiration to do it smarter. Lol.
What an incredibly gorgeous piece! I love watching you furniture flip. I flip also, but can only spray when it's warm. You are absolutely lucky to have a spray room. Your patience with the black line around the gold is something I strive for. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Btw, I do love watching the actual painting. It's relaxing.
To everyone who just had to mention that. There is a misspelling!!! Good of you to take a lovely video, done by a people that are trying to show us new ideas… and ruin it all by criticizing the makers spelling! What are you thinking??? Are you trying to show your own spelling gift? I think you are mean and rude! Stop it!
..no one has that intention…but who wants to purchase such a fantastic piece that has an obvious spelling error. I just wonder why the spell check didn’t pick it up.
@@cyhomer wow! I didn’t know that there was anyone who knew what Everybody’s intentions were!! You ARE gifted after all! And the person buying that piece could ask to have it redone and fix the spelling! Not your job!
The first time I saw this piece I was curious about what it was used for. One of my thoughts was as a dresser in an old store and used for ladies gloves. The lettering is beautiful. I would have liked to see different legs. These look a little modern. But a very enjoyable video to see your thoughts and process to restore this dresser.
I think the dresser is wonderful. If it really bothers you one idea might be to paint that drawer black and then put some words like, “odd pieces” or something different from the rest so it looked intentional. That would be cute too. If it stops a sale or the person who wants it asks you to change it then I would, otherwise I’d leave it. It’s pretty and unique.
I have a table that my Dad made in high school. I'm guessing early 1940's. I remember my Grandma had it covered with framed pictures. I was so glad to get it!!! It's still in very good condition. We made a wooden key to hang keys on when I was in school. I don't even think they teach wood shop in high school now.
Yvonne......you and your hubby did a PHENOMENAL job. I love how you say "the piece tells a story." You are so right. It looks perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I have a barn find that is almost identical to that one that I got at a barn estate sale in Northville, Michigan. It's been sitting in my garage for almost a year. Your video has inspired me to start it. Thank you for posting. Hugs from Michigan. 🙂🙂🙂❤️
I absolutely LOVE watching you refinish furniture!! Your design ideas are wonderful & that is why I started watching you a couple years ago! It's an outlet I don't have & I can create through you! Thank you so much for sharing your talent! Please don't give it up!
