That came out beautiful! I love the new look. Too bad the stain combo didn't work out. Something you might want to try with that Jacobean stain though...try this on some scrap. I used this on some CDX plywood for my ceilings. I cut the plywood down to just under 6" strips. Apply an antique white stain and wipe off the excess. Let it dry. Then apply the jacobean and wipe off as much as you can and see the result. This might work best on a lighter color wood like pine. Results might vary on other varieties. I also tried taking a darker red stain (maybe slightly purple color...I don't remember what I used there) and giving random streaks which gave it a nice aged effect too. And btw...you are more than welcome to come down and paint my car when it is ready. You look like you can paint way better than I ever do!

If you’re able to get a set of brad tip drill bits they are so helpful! No need to drill a pilot hole when using them and it starts the bit right at your center. I was also drilling a pilot hole until I got those bits . They were recommended to me by a fellow furniture refinisher. I think I got mine on Amazon.. can’t recall but harbor freight may carry them . They aren’t expensive

A tip when staining wood - buy some wood conditioner and apply that first, then after 15 mins apply the stain 🙂 Helps with blotchy and discolouration. Great job. Looks fabulous

And honestly I was skeptical if it would turn out great... but ummm...I was wrong😂 So gorgeous.... and a tip for using less bondo; put toothpick or wooden skewer in the holes to fill out the gaps. That way you only have to put a small amount of bondo only on top surface to cover the holes😊

Hey Ebony! You are one of the most elegant furniture refinishers I’ve seen. Whoa! Suggestion, you need a tiny stool on rollers. Your husband is a very lucky guy.

Once again, super job!!! When dry, did you have any problems with the lemon oil getting on anything you put in the drawers (like fabric). I've always wondered about that with any oil based product being used on the interior of drawers. I have just begun furniture flipping and am working on my first piece which is an end/night table. I found some of your RU-vids just by searching "furniture flipping" on the internet.
