You are always so clear in what beads you are taking up, and then you pause to show what is on your needle. I love your videos and this necklace is another beauty! Thank you Gina
Hi Gina, I have been a silent student of yours for about six months now, I am a silversmith that was challenged to try bead weaving, I am happy to say I've come along way, I no longer mangle thread beyond all recognition, and can oftentimes work ahead knowing what you are going to do next, the reason I can do this is because you gave me such a strong foundation. your clear precise instruction ensured that I had a clear understanding of every stitch and how it worked in fact there are some tutorials i would never have successfully completed had i not had your teaching first giving me a basic understanding of the stitch they were working in, now i'm proud to say a lot of times I don't need quite as precise direction but i dont forget when i couldnt have done it without it if not for you i would certainly have lost the bet to my friend bead weaving is a challenging art for sure thanks for helping me grasp it Newbies like me need teachers like you to ensure we grasp every step and im grateful
+Kathryn Justice-Case Hi, nice to know you are out there. I know many people get irritated with too much instruction, but because I am teaching such a vast audience at various skill levels, I teach assuming that no one knows what’s going to happen next. I realize many do, but many do not. Those that do just get irritated and skip the video forward. Those who do not, get frustrated and stuck. So I try to make sure that doesn’t happen. I keep the designs pretty simple and straight forward, but pretty, for the same reasons. Thank you for letting me know that my methods are working. I am happy you won your bet! 😁
I think showing up close is important I really like how you show your work up close and you explain what you are picking up It’s a lot easier to see and follow Thank you for all of your beautiful and amazing work
@Susan Collins: what you call “chatter” is Gina carefully explaining each step in detail, highly important for new beaders who might not have as much experience as you. I like it better than some video beading teachers who hardly talk at all, as if they don’t care if you get it or not. Gina makes me feel like she is a friend sitting down at my kitchen table teaching me.
BDTStudio hi there. Thanks for your reply and I guess this is our difference as I have never had nor do have any friends or family so I guess I'm not used to the chatter. Explanation much appreciated though. X
Well, I am glad to be your company, you can just chatter along with me. LOL. I had two boys, I always had to explain in minute detail how to do everything...ha! Left foot, right foo, inhale exhale...I swear, every move. Little boys are funny that way. Guess I just got used to directing them and that never went away...❤️😁
BDTStudio lol.. I know the feeling.. I have 4 girls and two of them have autism and one epilepsy so I know the step by step blurb but they find it easy to copy how I make jewellery and pretty much copy.. 😍
I'm not sure why anyone would want to see your beads when you pick them up. I love that you have such a clear up close video. Thanks a bunch for sharing how to make this absolutely gorgeous necklace and all your other videos as well.
Gina, thank you!!!! I just finished the necklace, bracelet and earrings. How wonderfully talented you are. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Your tutorial is wonderfully informative, clear and precise and I am able to follow. I have been using the thread attachment for awhile and I LOVE it.
+Linda Megarry I am very happy to hear you enjoyed making the set. Thank you for your nice complements. I too think that extending fire line is fabulous, I love it too!
Hi Gina,I really really love your tutorial, and I love your designs. It is hard at first, but when you get it and have the finish product ,it is so rewarding.Everything on your designs are so BEAUTIFUL.I am learning a lot,and THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.(I want to make them all)LOL!!
Beautiful Necklace and I appreciate this tutorial so much. You explained the process step by step, therefore no second guessing... Cut down on time.. Thank you
+Yvette Watts you're welcome I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know some people think I talk too much but it really does help to have every detail pointed out so there is not guessing. I am really happy that this style of teaching works for you.
Gina's Gem Creations I appreciate your jewelry tutorials ... You give details, step by step instructions. When I'm looking for jewelry tutorials, I look for certain words, ENG or English. Which Means detail instructions. That guarantee success and positive feedback and referrals. I will refer others to your page and subscribed. I have watched jewelry tutorial and some artist just play music, from the beginning until the end. Now, I am confused? watching the tutorial, without anyone giving us any instructions, or materials needed. When teaching others, the first rule should be, 1)The materials you need to start and complete the process. 2) what to expect. 3) Do you understand the instructions
Your videos are always detailed. I like the fact that is step by step so you get to understand it better than some videos. I would like to make this request, if you show us the tutorials on the latest necklaces in town. Would be very grateful. Tanx
+Esinam Okai thank you for the nice compliment. I am not sure what the latest necklaces in town are...depends where you live. Also I cannot copy theirs designs, but I try to make stuff people will wear and enjoy.
Hi Gina, I am a. bigginer beader and I started making your lovely diamond neckla e. Your directions were superb and I could follow you perfectly by stopping the video, quite often.. I heard you talk about en earing video that you were thinking about doing. If you have made such a video could you put the link up and let us know? Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video. Your creations are beautiful. I recently had cataract eye surgery on both my eyes and I'm finding it so difficult to work with beads again. I have got myself a magnifying glass with a light but still it's really hard. But I managed to follow your instructions and made a beautiful piece. So proud of myself. Your clear and concise instructions were easy to follow. A big THANK YOU.
+dina SCP you are very Welcome! I know, as age, it is getting harder and harder to see my beads too, there are days have to take many breaks to allow my eyes to rest. I am happy you were able to do this one!
Yay!!!!! I've always wanted to do a necklace with this pattern, but it never looked right 🤔. I'm so glad you have the time to do it for us.... thanks, Gina! It's beautiful!!! 🤗👏👍
Gina, I am so grateful to you. This is gorgeous...I love it. Please keep all the chatter in your videos. It is very helpful for beaders like me. All of your work is awesome and this is a job well done in such a short time. You are a life saver, thanks again.
To be honest we don’t need to see you picking up the beads but seeing the close up of what you are doing is so much more important. I am not a beginner to beading but I still love to watch you and others for inspiration for my own works. Sometimes I have stitch along side while watching so I can get the feel of the way fall into place. When you zoomed out I could hardly see the piece you were working on. I have found going around 3 times for the crystal works best for me but I also use a number 13 short needle have tried the longer needles but can not handle it 😹😹 it gets too bendy 😹😹 but I have found the Tulip 13# needle a nice size needle. Thanks for the tutorial it was fun to watch 🤗🤗
Hi Gina, I am completely new to this craft and am trying to learn as much as possible. Today I found your channel and have to say that I absolutely LOVE the way you do your tutorials. I have learned so much today and right now I am watching this particular video for the second time around and then there will be a 3rd when I make this gorgeous piece. I LOVE the way you teach. I listen to every single word and the last word is as important as the first word to me. Please if you will, I need the close-ups way way more than watching you pick up each bead so please please do not change the way you do your videos. Can't wait to watch everything else you have. Thank you so much for making these fantastic videos.
+Cindy Hi, nice to have you here! I Ann so happy you like my channel! So nice to hear that. I agree that close ups are more important, that's why I never worried about showing the beads, I am sure there will always be people who disagree, but I think things are going to stay the same👍❤️😀😜
Gina good morning thanks for sharing your talent time and creativity with us and for taking the time to instruct and explain the different options we have at our disposal Even though I havent started beading yet I loved your tutorials thanks very much
Dear Gina: I made the Dressy Diamonds Necklace following your step by step tutorial and it came out gorgeous. It was my first time beading and I felt as if I were beading all my life. Let me tell you that You are a very good teacher. I would apreciate very much know if you have a tutorial for the bracet of this necklace. If so, please let me know where I can find the video of tutorial because I would like to make the set. Thank you very much for share your knowledges with all of us.
Sandra Garcia-Rodriguez yes, I have a bracelet and earring tutorial to match. Here is the bracelet link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s4AukAADN8Y.html
Gina, I love this necklace. Thank you so much for another well done tutorial. I love everything you make and I am really looking forward to creating this one with you.
I Totally Agree with BDTStudio ! Gina is the Best Tutor ! Please try to understand that We New Beader's Really Need Her ! I hope you understand @Susan Collins ~ Not trying to be mean.. I just hope you understand now. God Bless
I'm a little late to the game here but love the tutorial and I'm looking to making one for a costume I'm making. I was wanting to know if a different size drop crystal could be used since it looks to be free standing? Many Thanks and Love the tutorial!!
Beautiful !Thank you very very much. Such a great teacher. So detailed made easy to follow. I made it and i am very proud of myself thanks to you Gina!Thank you
Yes, but you will have to increase the amount or the size, or both, of the the supporting seed beads. You will have to sit and make a unit or two. Use the same pattern just modify the sizes and numbers of beads until they lay correctly.
Oh Im sooo glad you made a matching necklace!! Ive made the bracelet! I Love it when you make a set. Was wondering if you could make a matching bracelet for The Princess Set? Thanks for this one, God Bless.
is it possible to get a print out of this necklace directions? I am having a hard time writing out the instructions, also I keep trying to draw step by step, but I just can't draw well, I have 5 great granddaughters who would love one of these, and 2 granddaughters, 2 daughters and a daughter-in-law, all of whom I think would like one. It is very pretty. I would like to make mother and daughters matching.Thank you
No, I do not have a print out, however, if you sit and do the necklace with the video, you will find after a few units that you will not need a pattern. It is very repetitive, easy to see the thread path and remember what to do next.
Muy hermoso , excelente el paso a paso , soy de Cali Colombia , de su idioma cero , pero sus manos hablan y lo hace muy bien . Dios la siga bendiciendo Muchas gracias
I absolutely love love love your tutorials. I appreciate them all. U r Fabulous. I was wondering if I could use all 11/0 seedbeads cause i dont have 15/0 seedbeads. If so how many 11/0 instead of 4 of 15/0 seedbeads...... Thanks again ♡☆♡☆♡
I am not sure, 11/0 s are wider, the beads might not lay right. But you can try it with three and see what happens, or use Miyuki or Czech 11/0s, they are smaller than Toho, May work fine with them.
Gina, fantastic tutorial, I finished mine yesterday, and it looks amazing ( I used an gold plated single strand "Element" Clasp). I was unable to get the exact shade of Bronze and went with Miyuki 11/9641. I think your bronze is looks darker, What number was it? Your instructions were easy to follow and I decided it is better to go with the Swarovski Pearls as they hold up to the rigours of perfume and sweat (if you are going to spend the time making this piece, you want it to last). Another tasteful, quality piece Gina and I enjoyed doing this one. Cheers, you are a Legend! ;)
+trumpygirl1 LOL, I am not so sure about the legend part, but I am very happy you liked the design, it is a pretty one. I am not sure of the number of the bronze I used , but they are pretty dark. Swarovski is always the best option when it be afforded. I hope you get lots of enjoyment and wear out of your new piece!❤️🌹
WELL IT'S A VERY REAL BEAUTIFUL NECKLACE, BUT I CAN'T MAKE AN NECKLACE LIKE THE ONE U'RE MAKING HERE, I STICK MY FINGERS WAY TOOO MUCH ANYWAY, I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOU SHARING U'RE NECKLACE U'RE MAKING ON HERE RIGHT NOW, SO,THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!! 💝🖒!!!!MY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP U SAFE,WELL,HAPPY,HEALTHY, AND BLESSED, ✌ PEACE ✌,🖒.
Try it, it’s really not difficult, and I too poke my fingers but I just say ouch and move on...LOL it’s just a part of beading. But I know you can do it!
+preshie chi look in the description box under the video player, all of the beads and amounts are listed there. The amounts are also captioned in the video.
I get my beads from many sources. I shop bead shows about three times a year. I shop Amazon and several online distributors like fire mountain, Potomac, goody beads and so on...
I made this necklace, without the drop, in cream pearls and red and gold delicas for Christmas and I love it. I've had many compliments while wearing it. My only problem is that occasionally it twists over on both sides while I'm wearing it and it's not because it's wrongly fastened. Can anyone suggest why that might be?
Gina..I really love this piece..and wanted to do it on a smaller scale.. I was wondering if I used 4mm pearl beads..do I have to adjust the 11/0's and 15/0's in the pattern???
Hi Gina. A beautiful piece, thank you! All through the video, I was wondering - "how is she attaching more thread", and there on the second set of components, you do this amazing join that I've never seen before! Thank you for your tutorial, I plan to give this a try sometime later today, once I'm out of bed (07:20 here, uk time) 😊😊 Have a fabulous day, much love Amanda xx
