Drew has been the kindest person since he was a little kid, always looking to make people smile and laugh. It is awesome to see him getting this recognition and exposure.
@davidevans1723 it kinda seems like some dudes might have beat him up in the military. In his first interview I feel like that could be what he almost was gonna say but tony didn't press the issue.
Drew’s debut on KT was truly something, every time he came out he was exponentially more entertaining. It’s good to see him get that regular spot. Hope he sticks with it and does the work necessary to develop his talent.
It's impossible not to like Drew Nickens. He had a lot go wrong, yet he's still the most positive guy all of the time. He brings energy to everything he does on stage. I love that becoming a regular hasn't gone to his head at all. He still wants to do as many spots as possible. I hope he makes it in this game, yet I feel like he would be the happiest man if he never headlined, yet still got to do comedy full-time and support a wife and kid while doing it.

Wow his stage presence is more of a character then I realized, he's smart as fuck. His self awareness is tremendous, his stage character plays into natural assumptions. But when you hear him in a regular conversations, he's super thoughtful
I've laughed at some of Drews jokes without even understanding what he was talking about. That's how great his energy is. Would pay to watch him do a solid 15 minute set live.

His "fellow' soldiers literally beat his brains in after he stood up to them always bullying him. Being jumped by men who kill for a living does that kind of damage. I understand why it's hard for him to talk about. Very sad!
@@The__Gentwhatever happened to him isnt our business. He may tell us one day. Until then, its trauma and causes PTSD type symptoms for Drew. It literally changed his whole life. He has to learn how he needs to deal with everything before he gets comfortable enough to tell his story, if he ever does. Hope he finds his peace.
David you really only need one mic between the two of you, probably sat in the middle. Don't use a cardioid, get a good spacial or shotgun mic for above you both. Sitting this close with two lav mics almost always has double feedback.
I instantly fell in love with this man and can't wait to see him hitting the podcast circuit. Gotta love the respect people are giving him about the backstory of his brain injury. He's a complex dude and deserves the fame he's getting.

Drew is a nice guy and that's his problem. He's not a good writer and all that yelling and moving around is smoke and mirrors (Bob Goldthwait had to stop that voice, Joe doesn't hump the stool anymore ). He doesn't talk about his injury or embrace his shadow. He had that one good episode and like Uncle Lazer, that short black guy and soon Ahren Bilisle his Honeymoon will soon be over. Unfortunately he either needs more tragedy or needs to talk about his own to truly prevail.

One of my first shows I was on was with Drew and he is one of the most down to earth realest people I’ve ever met! Glad to see him prospering and chasing his dreams!
