I give credit to oldest son for raising his siblings. Very sad for this family.

Stacy’s sister has found her remains and police still stone wall her in diving down to obtain them. I’m originally from this area and the police need to do something to prove they are not corrupt like they appear to others outside of Illinois!!

It would be nice if someone would offer Steven a job where he could again feel good about his contribution. You can tell it really still stings him that his job as a police officer was taken away. (Assuming he did go to the police about the guns/money, as he stated. ) His boss may have twisted the story a bit to get rid of Steven and not look "weak." The easier solution to standing by Steven. Steven taking care of the whole family shows his true good character.

Thanks for sharing, this is a monster who hates women with a vengeance. Be careful how many times a male or female gets married. Some people just can't from intimate relationships, they controlled freaks. These children has to deal with such distress losing thier mom at such young age. It's imperative to a background check on relationships, changing out thier families, schools that he attended, talking to his ex partner, his schools teacher, her church leaders. This could save a lot of females died in the terrible manner. 🙏

DP was and is a jerk. Working in court systems you hear lots of cop talk. Thought he could get away with it.

I was working in Bolingbrook a couple years after this event. We hypothesized whether the body was under Highway 355 ( which had been still being built) or in the tall grass near the building we worked in.

Of course he is very guilty. A terrible sociopath. 😢

I think at this point there isn’t a person out there that doesn’t think this man is guilty. It seems very obvious. His kids may have been skeptical because they are his kids and who wants to believe your dad is a murderer! At this point his youngest kids have a right to know where their mom’s remains are. He is clearly very evil. Not only did he take these two precious lives but he won’t even admit it to his kids. The two guys deserve answers about their mom’s death and the two youngest deserve to know where their mom is , and so does her family. It’s so wrong to withhold this. He owes all his kids answers. It’s disgusting! Hrs there for life , what does he have to lose.

It’s amazing that Stacey Peterson still has not been found. What is more crazy around the same time 2007 another woman from basically the same area went missing Lisa Stebic, her husband was widely accused though never charged, she as well as of this day has never been found.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? First off, I believe you, Stephen although I can’t say I always have. I also believed the rumors but the more I saw and heard what you were doing and what you have sacrificed to raise your siblings, the more I realized you must have a lot of your mother in you. My heart breaks for Tom but it was really good to see him and to hear him. He’s educated, kind and very grateful of his older brother. He’s a testament to the fact that when someone cares enough to give the kid a half a chance, the outcomes absolutely can change and often do. He’s so smart to realize they very well could’ve been statistics but because of the love of his brother and other family members stepping up to be surrogate parents, grandparents, etc. they didn’t have to be defined by their dads awful actions. I believe nature plays a part in how a person turns out (to an extent), but I believe nurture plays an even bigger part. Love conquers! Stephen you are a true hero!
