The story is Izzy is insecure that dricus called himself the first real African champion (simply meaning he’s the first champ who was born, lives, and trains out of South Africa) and Izzy acted like a victim for a while, got mauled by Sean fucking Strickland of all people, dricus won the belt against the guy who beat Izzy, and Izzy got a title shot because he has Dana white privilege and Izzy doesn’t like ddp despite ddp clearly not caring that much about Izzy

Ikram aliskerov, Paulo Costa, magomed ankalaev have grappling background, but learned striking in MMA so can't jauge and analyse their striking level cause never competed in high level kickboxing (for big guys ) or Muay Thai (for smaller guys competition) . That's why when they improve and get some ko victories, they think they can strike , accept short notice fight and strike with Robert (Ikram) , Paulo never attempted takedowns on Izzy, Jamala hill tried strike with Alex Pereira. It's like asking poirier, Conor or Justin gaethje to win a striking fight against tawanchai, superbon, nattawut or allazov. They would get injured and KOed by these real experts . Paulo and also Jiri Prochazka (that I both follow since 2016 in rizin/Japan MMA for Jiri ) don't have good understanding of striking , know some techniques but not how to use them strategically in fight (set up counter etc...) Zero low kick game , défense , counter , set up , combinations just like Izzy said "throw and hope" .
