Thank you so much for not having those idiotic lip injections that make all beauty RU-vidrs look like they got their lips stuck in the exact same pool drain! It's wonderful to see women that love themselves enough NOT to wreck their face to appease some ridiculous "beauty standard". You are beautiful and so amazing!!!!! 💜🎉😘
@@TheHoodedLid update bc i am so grateful to you and very excited, lolz: malachite snake case to be paired with romantic nude and neon print case with stanley orange!! my first foray into the world of luxury lips bc i love dvn's work so so much and the items are truly objects of beauty with the most thoughtful colors. will treasure these forever thanks to you and your amazing recommendation
It's so frustrating when they do computer generated lip swatches - hard to tell what the shades will really look like, but I'm pleased with my selections!
I'm looking into buying a Dries van Noten lipstick and stumbled onto your video. Thank you so much for showing 4 of the shades and sharing your opinion. I loved watching the video and listening to you. Kind regards
I am Belgian. And I got one case and a sheer nude nr 03. I had to try it. I love the case, but the formula is also great. The only thing I like not that much is the sent, also because I am sensitive to perfumed products. But the good thing is it is not that strong. I love that you could show all the cases in your video. The colors of the cases looked little different on the DVN website. So I think the one with the neon green is much more neon-pastel green. I like that better than I thought. That sheer shade you picked is also beautiful, I was thinking that one was to brown based for my skintone, but I think based on your review, it is a shade to consider. Thanks for this review.
How did I miss this vid when you first posted? I love these lipsticks! Thanks! 😍 So pleased that you also love bright lipsticks - so many you you tubers focus on the eyes and then just have neutral lips but I love that you love colour!
In my opinion Hermes has interesting shades of lipsticks. I agree with you that Orange Boîte it's a difficult colour and doesn't suit everyone. You should try Rouge Orange or Rouge Exotique (orange with a hint of pink).
A little late into Dries Van Noten beauty...I've now been watching this video for the last one week..still unable to decide on the shade Archive Red. It is an absolute gorgeous shade. Although its been 2 yrs since you posted this video..I wanted to check on your thoughts on archive red...would you still recommend it? How has the performance been in terms of longevity and formula..thank you and lots of love ❤️
Oh, my! I'm afraid my nail video would be such a bore! Today's color is from essiexpress (quick drying) and many of my colors are from Essie, Sally Hansen, a couple from Debra Lippman!
I loved this video! I 100% copied you on the neon pink in the neon case and then I got the Antwerp Vermeil in the coral case. I can’t wait to try them on! The cases alone are enough to draw me in but you’re right, these are really fun and unusual colors. ❤️
Hi there, you didnt say your name? I am so glad I found you. I am a similar age, skin tone, hair and eye colour. And yes, I have hooded eyes. Anyway, I just discovered Dries van Noten lipsticks and cases. I think i am going to become addicted. I cant wait to try some.
Thank you so much for showing us the DVN lip shades. The cases are a work of art. To me, that is an entire wardrobe of summer shades. All of them look beautiful on you. I do not know why the bright colors intimidate me so. I feel self conscious whenever I wear them, but am sincerely bored with neutrals. Lipstick comfort is also a huge issue with me. This sounds odd, but I swear some brands, especially liquids, when they dry down, feel claustrophobic. I am going to order the pink shade with blue undertones first, because it is the safest choice. I love the bright oranges but those shades intimidate me the most. It looks great on everyone except me. However, I have learned that anything you recommend, exceed my expectations. You have opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me and made me a little more brave in my choices. Thank you again.
Take a look at their other colors - there is probably something less intimidating like the last color I did which I think is perfect for everyday...and then dip you toe into the brights! Orange can be scary. I think it's best to start "earthy" like a muted orange. Maybe try Brave in the lip creams from Rare Beauty!
@@TheHoodedLidI ordered, "Graphic Ochre," which, is definitely in my lane. "Stanley Orange" has an earthy quality I want to try because it does not scare me. I am just so happy both colors are in stock because, I have been striking out everywhere else. Beautylish will email me when the items I want, are back in stock. It was exactly the same with Ulta. Lol. On my way to Rare Beauty right now. I need to make decisions quickly, or it will be fall by the time I receive my summer makeup wardrobe. Thank you again.
I’ve been excited to see a review of these - thanks so much for doing so, it was really informative and enjoyable! Now I only wish that the DvN site had included Australia as a shipping destination :-(
Thanks for showing! I will definetely purchase more colors. I really love the texture and behaving of the lipstick. Only the scent is a bit too much. The color no. is engraved on the side of the refill (not the name, but the texture and color no.)
That first matte colour reminds me of Lisa Eldridge's Rainbow Spill from her pink lipsticks (at least from how I perceive the colour😁). Gosh I had hoped she might bring those pinks back, but she hasn't, alas.
Probably more wearable, having said this, LE have a way with tones that work for all skin types. It was an interesting video, and I enjoyed the background on Dries Van Noten and his vision in fashion.
The Insanely Saturated lippies are coming back for this summer (she teased a new color while she was on a vacation in Mexico). I am sure rainbow spill will be restocked too.
