Drift Diving the St Clair River in search of Indian Stone net sinkers made and used by native fishermen. The dive was done near the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, MI.

Amazing how clear the mussels have cleaned up the lakes and river

That is a very true statement. We thought they would be awful but in reality, they may be a blessing. I believe they are hitting a balance now. I saw more shells this year than in past years and some more open areas. Maybe they have reached a homeostatic population.

I just saw a display at the gem mineral and fossil show about sinker stones used by native Americans that were recovered in the St clair river. It was very cool.

awesome. we catch lots of walleye every sunday night from july thru october. right there. queen side of the shipping channel. thanks for a look at the structure. i'll be subscribing now.
