Bro, I use the mouse and keyboard, I would absolutely love to have a steering wheel, but anyways, you´re not bad at drifting, maybe you just need to do it with another car, that´s why I always use the IBISHU BX with a custom desing, It´s pretty much the best car in the game for drifting, I would also recomend to you the afterfire mod and the skill chain to beamng which makes an overhaul on the drifting and add a overhaul adding the skill tree from foza horizon.
At 1:54 the shifter is not glitching, you're just not doing it properly. Reasons could be movin the gear stick too fast or not using the clutch correctly, it's actually a feature they added pretty recently
@@starkingscontent check 1:54 , you need to let the syncros mesh when going into second. hold clutch, let the engine speed come down as input shaft speed is lower since you missed it. we cant see pedal input but possibly you did not fully disengage clutch. if you havent already i recommend going to controls settings, clutch axis and setting a gamma on it, make it engage around 60% input; like a real car. it helps a lot

Drifting is not easy in Beam, but it's rewarding. Oh and, if you want, I'd suggest tweaking the inside camera so it shows where you're going when you're drifting. (: Makes it more fun, more useful and looks cooler.
