Sometimes I discover real gems amidst the vast amount of music I generate daily. But even then, there is still a long way to go. AI (in this case UDIO) is not yet capable of creating something longer than 30 seconds, and it struggles with following a coherent song structure. Although it has potential, there is still a lot of manual work needed to create a complete piece of music.
Every time I find something with potential, I regenerate pieces with the same 'seed' that I want to attach before and after the original piece, hoping to find something that works. This is often many hours of work, 'trial and error' at its best.
Once I am satisfied with the samples, I dive into FL Studio, as there is still much work to be done on the mixing.
Fortunately, thanks to another impressive piece of AI, I can split the instrumental parts of the audio tracks from each other, giving me more control over the mix.
After all the pieces of the puzzle are in place, often after countless edits, I use AI again to design a suitable cover for the track. Then I dive into Filmora to design a matching video clip.
AI is fantastic, especially because it can be incredibly inspiring, but for now, this remains a time-consuming yet creative process where I (fortunately) still need to rely heavily on my own creativity.
