I did the motor replacement on my drill last month 😄. You approached to that drill like a surgeon 😷, no messing around. Well done Restored, thank you for such a great presentation of all parts and your skills putting everything back together. Looks amazing 💪
Yes I know, same as original. The brush assembly is a bit of a hassle to replace and not big of a price difference compared to a new motor tbh. Thanks for watching mate👍
hi, thanks to your video I managed to fix my little screwdriver which had a clutch that no longer worked, you showed everything in the details, really good congratulations 🔝
Awesome work as usual 👏 Did not realise just how many parts are inside a drill! Excellent filming as usual. Great shot with all the pieces laid out, plus little subscribe man 😆 Sounds like it was raining at the end of the video 💧
Not sure that I would been able to put it back together if I wasn't filming the process 🤣 awesome feedback! Glad you liked it! I must admit that the rain was added in post🙈
@@RestoredChannel Haha, I sometimes need to check the footage to remember what goes where. Rain added in post? Omg 😆 Nice idea, nice effect. I was thinking to myself "that's the first time I've heard background noise in his videos..." 😂
Разобрать то любой сможет, а вот собрать и чтобы после сборки и восстановления ещё и работала дрель... Это может только Мастер! Поэтому - Вам уважение и скажу так - у Вас ЗОЛОТЫЕ РУКИ!
Thanks, I have to replace the motor on mine, same model. Somehow, most of the gears fell out during disassembly so really useful to see the whole thing!
Very cool that you go all the way with the cleaning. As a technical newbie, I think I would like more explanations of what you are using fx being more specific what "grease" is in this case :)
That's Molybdenum disulfide grease(mos2),pretty common in the automotive industry and often used in constant velocity joints or where there are sealed bearing/gear assemblies.
These motors cost like 10 bucks and are made in a way you can't replace the brushes (i did like 10 a day of similar types). The (simple) trick is taking off the gearbox from the motor in a way all the gears stay in place, that's a trick you need to see done once. New motor is a matter of minutes. It makes for a quick repair but it ain't no use for youtube content ;-)
You're right, it's brushed. But the brush assembly is built in making it harder to replace. The cost difference is so small that I decided to replace the motor. I've kept the old one for spare parts. Thanks for watching mate!
Restored Channel, excellent work, very satisfying! I run a mobile phone repair business, and tempted to try drill motor replacement. Are the parts easy enough to track down? Quality of replacement parts good?
Great video very instructional. I just complain about people they don’t leave enough instructional videos to see how to repair it that’s fine man I think the guys she wanted to take that to the moon wedding age cleaning it up and making it look off of Freddy yeah I think he’s working on the Nash cars are that and the Daytona Supercross original motorcycles are for the Bros anyway good job man I hope you’re really gonna use that drill and
Hello there, i just want to ask if you have any idea what the problem on my Stanley 18v cordless drill, it happened that the motor is not working. battery is good the indicator light is on if i push the trigger but the problem the motor/or dynamo wasn't spinning or working at all. What is the possible causes and how can i repair this drill. I would be happy if you have some tutorial video with regards of this. Thank you very much. I just actually watch your video and i just followed you.
My friend, I want advice from you. I want to buy a drill and I am confused about which is better, the Dewalt or the Dong Cheng, knowing that I work in the field of electrical maintenance and I wanted a light drill with a soft handle. Which one do you recommend to me?
@Restored Channel O, I have question... The placing of the gears in the planetary gearbox dooesn't matters? I just wondered how do u figured it out how to put it back when you washed all parts together...
@@RestoredChannel Oh, I see... Thx... :) I didn't think about it to record dissassemblt and later watch from the end to beginning... It;s so true that the simplest solutions are often the most difficult to come up with. 😄 It think i use that in the future if I would like to do maintenece mine...
