Just throwing this out there but if you were to put the wall plate right near the tailgate you could shut the tailgate and lock it and then you wouldn’t have to worry about anybody getting into your pack out because they can’t get to the turn over latch. That and you wouldn’t have to climb into the truck every time you need to get something. Good video just letting you know what I did.
I'm a fellow Sconnie, I had the same idea so now I don't feel as if I'd be the only person to do it. Only issue is my truck bed is composite, and curious if using rivet nuts would still work. 🤔
Hey I learned how to get out a riv nut watching this so that is pretty cool. I have a Leitner bed rack and one of the riv nuts stripped out, off to the hardware store I go.
Have you had any issues with the zinc plated rivet nuts rusting in your truck bed? I know Wisconsin has harsh winters. I debating on upgrading to stainless steel rivet nuts in my truck bed.
Instead of riv nuts use jack nuts. And I’d at least throw a dab of silicone in the holes before installing them. I have a ‘95 so not scared of drilling holes in anything. I have a spare tire I’ll need to mount and a gas can like yours.
Went to Home Depot to locate these boxes and nobody knew where they were (if at all). There were Milwaukee stack and roll tool sets. No floor mounted option. Help !!!!!
ZR2 Zamboni I had to get the base plate at a tractor supply store, not all Home Depot’s carry it, the boxes are part of the stack and roll set, just not the bottom one with wheels on it, you should be able to buy them individually
