I'm with Rosie on this. Alastor has known Rosie for 10 years, if he wanted to make a move, he had all the time in the next world to do it. But he didn’t. If the husband couldn’t accept Rosie just being friends with Al, things would probably end up going south sooner rather than later.

I'm with Rosie here absolutely, is not about "choosing" Alastor over a marriage, is about the fact that if the guy can't handle a 10 years long friendship then what other things will be incapable to handle? However Alastor's concerns are, to a degree, understandable, kinda noble to being able to put her above their friendship, maybe "too" noble I would say xd

In context this is probably the same husband that she has probably ate or killed in the pilot.

The best part about this is i can 100% see this happening. Rosie strikes me as the type to give the finger to anyone who can't accept her friends and Alastor genuinely cares about her enough to try and convince her to think things through (While also needing a drink to deal with this craziness) before doing anything rash

Al really be like "Hold on, I'm too sober to be having such a ridiculous argument right now". like i agree w/ Rosie, but at the same time, if Al is saying this current husband (whoever he is) is actually good for Rosie and treating her right, then she should be trying to negotiate and come to a compromise. maybe she should tell this hubby of hers that Alastor is just her bestie and is an "ace in the hole", as she puts it in the show, so he has nothing to worry about

I'm on both sides. Rosie shouldn't stop hanging out with Alastor for the sake of another man's fragile ego and Alastor cares enough about Rosie to tell her to talk to her husband about a compromise.

I have only one word that debunks this whole schtick that nobody has attempted to mention yet....... Cheating.. most people bring up the if they accuse you of cheating most likely they are cheating on you card but no one seems to bring up the idea that potentially they've been cheated on MULTIPLE times and most likely by a friend of the wife/gf.... So most likely is being scared and fearful and having as I like to call it cheating PTSD... Now the second reason... Ever stopped to think the dude didnt know Alastor very much and most likely didn't know he was ace

Let's also put Rosie's argument into perspective here. How would her soon-to-be-EX-husband react if Rosie turned around and told him to stop hanging around a female friend of his? More than likely, he'd call Rosie controlling and tell her that he's not going to do such a thing. I doubt very much he'd be accommodating to her. Insecure people rarely are. I'd tell him to forge my signature on the divorce papers for all I care after that. The last thing you'll ever do is dictate the relationships I get to have. So I'm completely on Rosie's side.

Alastor being an "ace in the hole" is the only reason I agree with Rosie. Because otherwise saying "you have nothing to worry about" usually turns out to be completely untrue. Also Al saying this guy was actually good for her actually really says something. It's possible that this ha been boiling in the husband's head for a while now but I also think he was jumping the gun by saying "either stop being friends or divorce". Ultimatums are necessary sometimes (especially in most situations about guy friends, if this was a consistent problem beforehand) but I don't really have all the context for this so who knows what the husband's side of the story is. Just think about seeing how close Alastor and Rosie are (WITHOUT knowing Alastor's condition) and imagine that is your spouse who shows much more enjoyment with the friend while talking down about all their previous spouses (and also eating them in Rosie's case).
