Not to play the devil's advocate, but Julian has mentioned before that he preferred when people had nice interactions like talking and stuff instead of immediately asking for pics and not even checking if he thought he looked nice in it, because then many people made memes out of it all and it made him feel like a zoo animal and stuff. So yeah, maybe he just felt uncomfortable. Or was being a brat indeed. Just giving another perspective idk
