Where is Mile Marker 0? Well it's at the end of US 1 in Key West, Florida. Also can you believe there's never been a rum festival in Key West before? I can't! Well I traveled down recently and hung out with Key West Rum Fest co-owner & director, Neil Lindley.
Neil and I talk about the upcoming inaugural Key West Rum Fest, August 14-18. There's over 30 rum brands attending the grand tasting event, sand bar trips, Jesse Rice concert and seminars. This is a great time of year to visit Key West as it's the slow season and hotel rates are reasonable.
Also, 100% of the donations from the 4 day event will be given to MARC House (Monroe Association for Remarcable Citizens). This is a charity that Neil supports and is very passionate about.
