You're a genius, I tried normal bowls but they got moved around. Leaky water bottles left my fleeces smelling damp which is so much worse than when the pigs actually make the smell with their mess. Bought some bird feeders today and works perfectly
The Number one mistake people make that produces drip is Water Temperature. When you fill the bottle with cold water it Will drip. Leave a bottle of purified water near your cage. Because the water is room temperature... No more drip. P.S. Most animals hate cold water.
Love this idea ! I always put a small bowl in the cage so that the water could drain but then the hamsters would flip the bowl over so the issue never went away .
Omg …this is what RU-vid shld b about. Helping each other. Someone abandoned two guinea pigs in a box - a friend said, so i said I take it. Never had em. Bought another bottle and leaks …they all do my gosh. So now I have to buy this and THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🏽❤️
Got bird feeder cup. Put in cage under water bottle. Watched as my piggies got a drink. Didn't realize how much bottle dripped WHILE they drank!!! Cup works GREAT!!!!! Guinea🐷's & I thank you!!!
Thanks for this workaround, but I want to maintain hope that it isn't the "best solution", as you say. I don't know what the best solution is, admittedly. We have pet gerbils, and out of the dozen or so bottles that we've purchased over the years, only ONE doesn't drip! If only I could determine why this bottle works great (and has worked great for 10 years), then I'd have my answer.
@@carliescavies6978 ah ok, I was thinking another option would be to get those Guinea pig litter trays, the ones with the plastic above the tray 🤷🏻♀️.
