Barracks OL from Phil spot in Staunton Island in GTA3 had similar mass stat; Used to speed down torrington toward Yakuza casino hitting every car in sight the difference in weight would send npc vehicle flying; Infinite mass in Driv3r reminded me of that truck.
I wish i gave infinite mass mode a lot more play after seeing this. Grenade launcher is the best. In Miami, I got a grenades to blow a taxi cab onto the elevated railway. It landed upright. And, as i was in invincibiltity mode, i was able to get in it ad drive it on the elevated track
Gotta unlock the Istanbul armoury. Each map has 10 "Timmy Vermicelli" characters (making fun of GTA Vice City's Tommy Vercetti) that you have to find and kill. Guides to where they are can be easily found online. Once you find all 10 on one map, the game will reveal that map's armoury, marked as a small blue dot, with a different game mode for each. Entering Miami's armoury will start 18-Wheeler Anarchy mode, which replaces all police vehicles with Timmys driving semi trucks. They'll also never leave you alone. Entering Nice's armoury will start Fugitive mode, where every single civilian is equipped with a weapon and tries to kill Tanner ruthlessly. Entering Istanbul's armoury will start Infinite Mass mode, which (as seen in the video) takes the total mass of any car Tanner enters, and launches it to it's highest possible value. It also makes said car invincible to all damage. (except for water, tires, being stuck upside down.) This means Tanner can ram any vehicle and send it flying without even feeling it. (HOWEVER! Turn on the invincibility cheat or the force of the crashes will still injure Tanner, causing him to die after a few minutes) Hope this helps :)
@@lilmaple072 Did you ever come across this quirk with infinite mass mode in driv3r? Might be an oversight/bug. Sometimes, driving into a vehicle will cause your own vehicle to slow down slightly, but it won't regain back to the actual max speed unless you let go and re-press the button to accelerate. The PC version of the first Driver did the infinite mass mode the proper way (the cheat's called freight train mode in that).
@@josephwj7199 I have, actually! I think that's part of the game's code, if you get into a high-speed crash, the engine cuts out for a second. I'm pretty sure it actually isn't based on going off/on the throttle to "restart" the car, it has some sort of timer from my experience. It's got some math to it too, the effect lasts the longest when you choose a small car to drive and then head-on a bus or truck at full speed. It would be a good feature in the base game, but with Infinite Mass mode on, it's more of an annoyance lol
