Ah the creepy male section. You know the ones folks where their left or right hand is their best friend. Thankfully most normal men aren't this lame and creepy.
He really only has two actual movie roles and they were both good. Driver and Blade Runner 2044. The rest were just silly rom com roles that were not serious.
He waited until the 300 was going to ram again, so it would make it harder to chase him on a turn. They didn't expect that perfect 180 into a turn. He's the best driver for a reason.
I am a MOPAR guy. I love hemi’s. There is no way on Gods green earth that 300 is competing with that GT. It really hurt the scene. Why not a 6.4 charger at least?
I love how the pawn shop owner waits until the idiot walks by the window for his opportunity to take him out. Gave him the money and waited until he had his chance. Smart.
@@talldude1412 Yes communities love when mob employed people gun down other criminals in the back in broad daylight. Nothing people love more in their neighborhoods than daylight murders
This movie should have gotten so much more attention ! Love how there’s no music during this car scene ! This is our generations Bullet ! Gosling is our Steve McQueen ! Great cast , great love story & visually stunning ! Proof that less is more ! Glad that Michael Bay never got his hands on this !
This movie establishes early on modified cars are a thing in this universe, you know? It's almost like gangsters tune their cars but also make them as to catch as little attention as possible!
I live where they filmed this scene and saw Drive when it came out in theaters. During this scene, the audience was laughing because we all know the area and thus could see they were teleporting around to various different locations in a way that would naturally be impossible. Obviously, it's still a great scene but knowing the landscape changes your perception 😆
Great movie. So great that I was blinded before how cheap the ending in this scene were I didnt noticed before. Dude chasing with probably much heavier car drove perfectly before he had to do a super simple U turn without any obstacles. You can say he was blown away by how great Goslings character made the turn? Unless he was a teanager, you wont make mistakes like that in a simple situation.
Well, you can see he was accelerating to hit the car, but Gosling's character did an unexpected move, so the other guy had too much speed and therefore couldn't turn well enough.
The chase scenes in this movie are full of flaws. In the first get away scene the driver revs up the "engine swapped" Impala after being spotted by the police helicopter and he still moves with the traffic, overtaking noone. Here the 300C just loses control, because the driver spinned into reversing? Then when the driver spins around again and does a left turn, the 300C casually drives behind the Mustang before miraculously losing control.
I drove a 300 between LA and San Francisco and it could go 105 before I even noticed. Definitely a much more fun rental than the mini vans I usually get, lol
@@donganger4936 It wasn’t all bad but i wanted to see more driving scenes reminisce of The Seven Ups, Ronin,Live and Die in LA, Bullitt etc…. You make a Movie called Drive then give us some cars and driving to remember and I don’t mean like a Fast & Furious
@@donganger4936 Wasn’t bad like I mentioned it had some decent retro 80’s electronic music to make up for lack of driving scenes which I’m sure Ryan would of done a great job!
Careful. There are so many uploads of this chase scene and I've noticed anyone who badmouths the POS Chrysler gets a torrent of hate replies. Years ago I simply stated the engine would've been toast and was eventually bashed. American Big 3 hasn't made anything worth keeping long-term since the early 1980s. Buy domestic and the vehicle's on a lift before 60K miles... 30K if it's a truck.
@@BlacKnightRising There wasn't I'm saying what they should have done to make the scene a little more believable and then not have to wreck a real SRT.
@@ChallengerGuy22 well the chase scene was obviously thrown together haphazardly, first the mustang gets dusted with the crew to close to it instead of being father away and zooming in to the action then the 300 gets dusted only to show up clean and pristine in the next clip, I mean it was a mess, but they had to thrown in 'something' exciting to an otherwise boring somber movie
He displayed weapons efficiency throughout the film along with his driving and overall tactics showcased convinced at some point before the story takes place he received military training
Yep, heightens that tension. He feels something is up and can't place it in those seconds. Then as he continues to wait and the lady gets in the car, the tension, IMO, is heightened further when he is grinding his teeth and you see his jaw move. That's great physical acting to show he's nervous that the other guy hasn't come out together with the lady.
Funny when you know the actual location of the shots filmed. A lot of films use Santa Clarita, CA. Specifically Canyon Country, Valencia or Old Town. And others use Palmdale, CA. Several scenes from Fast & Furious used both locations. The robbery took place in Palmdale. But the chase scenes were CA2 (edit: Angeles Forest Hwy) going North towards Hwy 14 just outside of Palmdale. Literally 1 mile south of Palmdale, CA. When he spins the GT around & the Chrysler 300 crashes. That's right we're the CA2 ends at Hwy 14. When he corrects the car and drives off. He is headed "South" bound towards Santa Clarita, CA on Carson Mesa Rd. Ford v Ferrari The scene when his wife speeds up & scares Miles. That road is part of Canyon Country Santa Clarita. They were going south towards Canyon Country. Redline The final race scene is through Santa Clarita, CA. They jump onto Hwy 14 North bound with CHP chasing them. CHIPs with Dak Shepard. Several scenes in Santa Clarita & the rescue scene when Ponche's fingers get blown off. Palmdale, CA Scorched Multiple bank employees steal from the bank. Palmdale, CA. Born 2 Race Dad's house is off Hwy 14 between Santa Clarita and Palmdale, CA. Anyone ever see the episode of Punk'd when Timberlake cries because his cars are being towed away at his house? That house can be seen from hwy 14. Many other films have used these locations.
@@jasonavant7470 I edited my comment slightly because I was slightly wrong about the road. CA-2 does go through the MTN from i-210 to CA-138. However, the connecting road is Angeles Forest Hwy to the CA-14. It's been 14yrs since I've been out there last in 2010. Lived in Palmdale for 2yrs & Santa Clarita for 6yrs. That's why I recognize those locations in films. The scene in the canyon chase IS from Angeles Forest Hwy with CA-14 in the view from a distance. I know that road road very well. Drove it numerous times. Used to be in the tuner scene & ride motorcycles [2004 & 2007 Suzuki gsxr1000 // 1991 Mazda RX7, 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS & 2004 VW R32 *real tuner cars*] as well and would race those canyons as well as many others. However, they filmed in many different locations & edited them together for that one chase scene. That's why it jumps from one spot to the next in such a weird way. In the desert one moment, suddenly on a canyon road, then the CA-14 in view... So, there are probably some locations from La Tuna Canyon in there as well. 🤷 That chase scene is a hot mess in my opinion.
Wow, people in the comments really thinking this was a movie about cars and chases... Way to miss the point, but great for engagement on the video I guess?
@nowhirr8135 pretty sure youdo that car was consistently the same color it did have a huge amount of dust on it inane scene because of multiple takes most likely
Igen, igazad van. Csak a neve miatt, írtam így. A szabónő aki készíti ezeket, ő kapja a filmesektől a megrendelést. Külön a sztárok is felkeresik. A rádióban hallgattam egy beszélgetést erről.
Just noticed this. (Have seen the film beforehand). That Chrysler is *the* preferred car of the Firm, albeit in a modified state (warmed over engines, mostly) - driven by s’paths, most of them being in thrall to Brimstone.
Just assume the 300C is modified, both engine and suspension. Haven't seen the movie. I assume the Mustang is stock and it has a 6 speed automatic as shown. Could be a fair chase that way.
I gues there wouldn't have been much of a CAr Chase if this Movie was set in Manhattan . Kind of hard to have much of a CAr Chase in Manhattan Traffic.
