Nice video m8. Although. 1. Make sure you adjust both sides so that your wheel is aligned correctly. 2. Use a torque wrench with the recommended specs 108nm I think. 3. Looks like you are in the tight end there. Use measuring tape to check the exact slack. Just some tips. Stay safe !

Thank you. Gonna try this for the first time tomorrow. Nice to watch the process before I do.

For new riders watching this, MUST adjust both sides in order for left and right swing arm hash marks to match. Also, check your owners manual for torque on axle nut and acceptable slack range and how to measure slack. I wouldn’t recommend just feeling it like in this video. Mine is a 2017 and slack is 1.0 to 1.4 inches and axle nut torque is 79.7 foot pounds.

Hi Pastor Fred, I was a mechanic for 10 years and torque specs are a funny thing. They are a good reference point but I was always surprised at how little torque is recommended based on what I would want to crank a nut down with. I have also met people who thought barely tighter than hand tight would be good on the other extreme. Kinda like the Word of God is the standard that we are to follow in our walk with Jesus.

The sound of the gas vapes! First time i parked my Versys on the sun it sounded like electronics turning on and off! It took me an hour to figure out what it is! 😂😂😂

No talking, and straight to the action! I love it!! So you don't need to take left bolt off?

You need to losen it so the axel can move freely. I think he overtighten the chain but thats just my way of seeing...

There is only the size for the left side of the axle in the toolkit or is the other side size wrench supposed to be in the toolkit aswell? Just bought a versys 1000 and only the left side of the axle size wrench was in there

Vulcan S owner here, looks like a very similar design to my bike. You use a new cotter pin and the end right? Where do you get them?

Any parts store like O'reiley's, Auto zone, will have them. Just got some today.

it's little too tight my friend, don't forget to adjust the chain with your weight on it, because it's a mono shock toggle, sit down on your bike, and adjust before

Depends what the manual says, I've never seen it written to suit on the bike for the measurement, I guess because we all weigh different. It did look too tight though. I think my old 900 hornet was 40 to 50mm (2"!), it worked best at the looser end... Strange eh?

pulled the chain too hard i guess
