Seen Bull on the Beach announced today that they are going to stay at their 2nd street location. Looking forward to St. Patrick’s weekend and all the shenanigans!!!
It’s a whole different dynamic when you bring Ashley along - you know stuff - she knows stuff - I really enjoy how you guys play off each other - such fun !!! This was a full rain report - love it !!! We got 4 inches of snow in Frederick / but then it turned to rain and mostly washed away !! Thanks for sharing !!!
I thought you guys were getting a lot more snow! My sister in law lives in New Market, she was saying they were calling for more but it jsut never came. I'm over winter and ready for summer! HAHA
Ocean 13 has the best food and atmosphere, service etc. Located on 32nd across from Anthony's Liquors. Our fav pizza place is Brothers on 12th n boards.
😂 My typical summer day when I lived in England. Bad Monkey, bring your appetite as their portions are huge. Happy Jack Pancake House is excellent. Our server has worked and lived in OC for many years. She told us which owners treat their employees the best and which don't. My wife loves the Rope Walk. You certainly listed a lot of our favorites. When we went in Dec of 2022 we stayed out so late at the Winterfest Light Show the only place we could find open was the Denny's you drove by. Now this maybe hard to believe, but my wife had one of her best seafood meals there. And she is very picky about her seafood. Will definitely have to try Touch of Italy. Thanks to you and Ashley for another great informative video.
Great update Jay!! The weather looked nasty down there last weekend. Did you guys ever do a review of the crabs or crab cakes at Hoopers? Thanks buddy!!
It was a sloppy mess! It looks awful tomorrow too. I'll take rain over snow though! I didn't do Hoopers yet, when they open back up we'll give them a shot.
yes the ace is really cool believe it or not for ahardware store,,so much cool stuff in it,,besides the parts and materials....check fenwick hardware also huge flag selection,,,and other uniqe things ,,very beachy stuff on rt54 in fenwick close to harpoon hanas@@ReelJayB
ah JAY you ever been to papa grandes at the ditch in fenwick next to catch 54,,popular spot for sunsets drinks at the ditch, not sure on the food,,ck it out once,,cee ya@@ReelJayB
You tell'em Ashley you don't take your Christmas decorations down until after the Epiphany. The three Wiseguys don't come until the 7th of January which is the Epiphany.
Jolly Rogers was my go to place when I was little, I was 5 and I remember JR on the inlet and the pier and Golden Gates Apartments me and my family stayed at, I remember many motels like Sahara Motel Suntan Motel Fenwick Inn Dunes Motel Thunderbird Motel and Ripley's Believe It Or Not Trimpers and The Haunted House Ride I plan on going back soon
The 94th Street corner is a homerun - Blue Fish, Plaza Hotel (Jungle Bar), Kirby's, Liquid Assets, Lombardi's, and Coffee Beanery. Just so much to choose from and all are great. Can't forget to through Bull on the Beach and Princess Royale into the mix. So much in one location is hard to pass up and difficult to find something you wouldn't enjoy. BTW, try the crab cake at the Jungle Bar and you'll probably will have a new favorite.
Maaaaan.....so.....I've heard from some reliable sources who have said THE SAME THING about Jungle Bar!! We tried hard to get there last summer but we had a VERY busy summer with friends and family visiting mixed with they don't do carryout. So this summer, we are going to be going there, even if it takes dining in and filming the review from the table. I'm so excited for it!
saw our condo, behind alley oops the marasol........ thanks for the ride a long the only thing i know of mackeys is that they are no longer doing the year round outdoor cam ,which makes no sense! i check out the cams from all around OC every night,
Thanks for the Coastal Hwy update tour- JB & Ashley. Oh the weather outside is frightful- It is January after all. All the names of those food places- brings delicious memories- and made me hungry too. Somehow, I now want an OC crabcake or two slices of pizza, Thrashers fries, & Dumser Ice cream cone. U mentioned Tino's at 81st street. That would be from my friend's recommendation. Try it. Seriously good. It's the first place we go, when we're in town. Pino's pizza is next door- maybe a review by the JB crew? Snow is nice- but it can be a pain. I got some here. West & North of here got hammered. Have a good 2024 year to the both of you- and the boys too. I look forward to my return visit in May.
Definitely doing a review at Pino's. We tried this year but the boys made the playoffs in football so we never made it. Tino's looks awesome too! Happy new year, May is just around the corner!
That's great to hear about your boys. They're pretty cool kids. I have some fine grandsons, just like them. Tino's is awesome- I wouldn't send u there if I didn't think it wasn't worth it. Best Mex in OC by far. Owner is a really cool guy, we've come to know him some. We too have wanted to try Pino's. Like you- we judge our pizza intakes. We don't rate them 1-5 stars. Yeah, we'll come back- or- I don't think so. One other unknown pizza place that might be worth a try for you guys. It is not a Pizza joint. It is kinda famous on the Boards for other tastebud entertainment. Pollock Johnie's has surprisingly good pizza by the slice or pie. Owner hand makes the sauce & dough himself- old school mom's recipe. And Irene is so cool. The May countdown clock started the moment the clock hit 12:01am on Jan. 1st. @@ReelJayB
Nice video today Jay. The crab cake Factory winning crab cake of the year is one of the biggest mystery in life. My wife and I say coastal creations sounds like a furniture store and not a restaurant, Is it any wonder it looks empty. Mackey's now is no different then any other So Del restaurant it ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Surfin Betty's Burger Bar is very good. If you live down here and don't take advantage of all of the restaurant specials you don't know what you are missing.
Have you ever tried Sello’s in West OC? It’s my husbands and mines favorite Italian place! They have a specials menu that changes and everything we’ve ever had has been delicious!
Heading there Thursday and we cannot wait!! We already have a list of places to eat, we might even stop by Berlin for their Restaurant Week. Also looking forward to catching the NFL playoffs with off-season prices!
Tailchasers! Yes! When it opened it was packed all the time and really really good. Then the menu changed and Meh. Then we had a pretty good one, then meh again. It’s really annoying as my mother in laws condo is directly behind there on the canal, so easy walk. But don’t remember last time we went there now.
We really like Albertino's. Their pizza and lasagna are excellent. You should give them a try. I agree with you about Tailchasers. We went there a while back and their burgers were really good. Then we went back a few months ago an the burgers were not good. Not sure what they changed. Barn 34 does have a great breakfast. If you haven't tried their cinnamon bun breakfast appetizer you need to, it will literally melt in your mouth. Amazing! Have you tried the crabcake at Woody's in Dewey?
Agree on Saltwater 75. great view, great atmosphere, food was lack luster for the money! Really enjoyed the restaurant for the views, not so much on the food. For us it seemed to be over priced frozen bar food. I don't mind paying for a great meal and we did not get that. I would give them another chance though not trying to beat them down.
Is Tapgouse coming back to the boardwalk? I heard one of the sensations was gonna turn into one. Those stores don’t seem big enough to have a kitchen. Maybe that got squashed when the west OC property became available to them?
The old Taphouse is now a Sugar Planet so I don't think they are coming back. That West OC property is nice and spacious. The inside decor, atmosphere and bar area are awesome!
Go back to Ripienos and get a provolone cheesesteak and whatever else you'd like one it.. Remember a half a cheesesteak there, is the same as a whole cheesesteak anywhere else. Everyone I've sent has come back with nothing but compliments. Say Hi to Kirby when you visit
Burn used to be our favorite spot, but they hosted a certain type of show a few years ago that we didn't agree with, especially for kids. So we haven't been back.
Hi Jay, enjoy your content. A couple of questions. *Have you and your family tried the Wedge yet? Food and/ or drinks? Your impressions? *Did the Frog Bar move or just go out of business? It used to be my favorite OC dive bar.
Thanks Paul! We haven't tried the Wedge yet, I heard it's good but a bit pricey. All summer it seemed very busy, which was a good sign, so I'm sure it's pretty good. The Frog Bar is no more. After leaving the inlet they went to the old Buddy's/Bahama Mama's by the Coast Guard station. They didn't last long there before they closed for good.
Thanks for the drive update keep up with the good work buddy I will be back down there this summer I had some snow here in Manchester Maryland and wjz 13 sad we are getting some more rain here in Maryland and they sad some places might see some flooding tomorrow as well they are working on the us 50 bridge they saying like two months
Leon's is the same owner as Whisker's. He is relaunching with the old Whisker's menu, hoping to get people back. We live close by and were there last week, unfortunately the food is still lacking. We were regulars of the Original Whisker's, which had good food, and a great local hangout.
I heard a lot about the food lacking...seems to be everyones biggest complaint. The old Whiskers was great, we went to the one in Ocean Pines all the time.
yes,,its been a minute,,but i had stuff there years ago was allways good then,,cant say right now..pizza back then was to greasy for me,,justsayinn...i like billys pizzas for the price and most important
The shopping center further down has started to get deserted. Nike is gone alone with a few others. Under Armour is the only store worth stopping in now.
Yes you got it...but nice coastal ride through beachy del towns...Indian river is great area to see,,camping etc...DEWy beach is neat...Bethany beach has a nice little boardwalk...so family oriented...no TAX SHOPPING....nice day trip if you in oc for a bit,,sorry md,,but the DEL BEACHES AND SMALL TOWNS ARE THE BEST............@@ReelJayB
I don't really know of any buffets, only sit down dining. Bayside Skillet was good, our favorite is Brass Balls because it's on the boardwalk. Another big favorite is Sahara Cafe....I've heard their breakfasts are amazing. Thanks for watching!

DEL was a great dinner rest,,havent been in a while,,years to be spot on ,but still a busy breakfast rest so it seems,,,family place ,, a little noisy because of open place and lots of woodwork inside but the seafoodand entres "WERE" great inthe past..

Jay, have you ever done a breakfast review on places in around Ocean City, MD? If not, I’d recommend Abi’s it’s on I think it’s called racetrack road(if you make a right right after crabs to go). Being from south eastern Pa, Abi’s diner is the only place I found in OCMD(or near OCMD) that has home fries like we have here in pa for breakfast. Thanks for the video!
IF you get a chance,,Dirty harrys rest. in fenwick is. del is a great year round little restaraunt,,baked good s and homegrown feel,,cant tell ya about the food,,i live so close i dont eat there much but its very popular all year it seems, and the baked goods are killer,,yes thats my thing there, mmm good....I notice alot of senior folks there all the seasons ,so you know they know where the bargains are and the good food..yep check it out, just over the line in del,,from oc,,past rt 54 on the lft in shoppin center.......
