Hey Nia, thank you for sharing, I have been trucking for over 20 years and never heard of this and now you have my attention and would love to know more. Thanks again for sharing
Wow this is an amazing ass job you described and have. There have been times, while driving my truck, i have seen drivers transporting three tractors in addition to the one they are driving. Always wondered what company they worked for. Now i know what you all do. But yea its so good to see you doing well and out here securing the bag and just enjoying life. Definitely insightful information on the trucking company you drive for and sounds like easy money. But i kno it can be hard to do the kinda work you do. Im a fellow truck driver right now and its not always easy for me. But anyways i definitely enjoyed the video and thank you for sharing to those who are interested in applying and seeing what you do.
@@nyanyanew im sooo happy for u. Ur trucking videos help motivate me to get this hazmat and doubles/triples endorsement really soon! I’m there is hella money out here to be made and im excited about securing the bag. I can honestly say im happy with the type of trucking im doing and just being in the industry with endless opportunities to grow as an individual and expand my career. Truckin is changing my life as we speak.
Ty for sharing, I'm overjoyed for you! You are Fearless and Amazing, there is no limit with God. Some of us limit ourselves, I realized Nothing is impossible for God He is surely doing it Grand!🙌🏽 I see you, with your natural beauty Shining forth!🙏🏽💕
@@nyanyanewhello gorgeous so I have a question I'm starting drive away now almost done with my paper work whatbis pros and cons I know we can pick our own time ect but is it worth it and stuff I live in Oklahoma now but from Cali but my home place for trucks will be Texas I do uber already and other 1099 jobs and drive trucks part time but about to stop that and do this I'll be just doing 26 ft trucks
I thank God for you. Ur videos are so real and inspirational. I live in Charlotte NC and I'm about to start driving for truck movers.. if it ever this way look me up
@@antoniobernard3499 Thank You. I pray all goes well on your future endeavors. I’m not sure if you saw my recent videos about drive away. The money I made when I recorded this video is not indicative of the money I made when I was driving solo. Please keep that in mind. Also if you want to pocket the most money with truck movers I would suggest doing shuttle runs. You have to have your doubles and triples, but you’re not responsible for putting them together you simply take the pre-assembled ones.
I’ve been a truck driver for 15 years and decided to give this a try, I honestly just don’t see the money. It seems like fuel eats most of the settlement. So I felt when u said “I just didn’t see the money at first” 😂😂 Im gonna try to push through tho lol
It’s a real hustle. An make sure you are negotiating the highest rate because they will try and low ball you. Don’t go to these major truck stops unless they give you an extra discount to go. Having multiple companies to run with really helps. Also if you don’t watch ya money you would have made 2500-3000 in a week and not even realize it. You really have to budget out here. Final tip if you can team it helps a whole lot. Than y’all can split the cost. Ultimately do what works for you. It’s defitmly not for everyone
The day cab you have in this video is a M2106 I pick these up in the same place in Mt.Holly ,NC outside of Charlotte. Too bad we never ran into each other 💜
How much does cost to dead head to next location... and how do you choose which loads pay$ the be$t?... Are they always willing to pay what the cost of travel is? Are you bidding on the load? Does the lowest bidder win the load?
@@2greedy905 this was 2 years ago when I worked for a smaller company. They’re no longer around. The cost to dead head varies based on where you’re going and your method of transportation
@@2greedy905 lol in hindsight no. This was my introduction to Driveaway and once I went solo it was no where as lucrative 😂 Driveaway has had me in tears in times past
@@2greedy905 it was a smaller company that was allot more loose than other companies. Also we were making $1.50 - $1.85 a mile I covered all expenses, but it was split between 2 other people
Thank you Nya for your videos. Very detailed and informative. Is it possible to get a company name? As a company driver for 10+ years I might be up for a change. You made it sound so doable.
I wouldn’t suggest working for them. They’re on a downward slope. In hindsight I don’t really suggest driveway at all. It’s cool for a little but it can be so stressful. I’ll eventually make a update on my last experience
That honestly don’t sound like a lot of money for the running around especially with paying for your own fuel which seems extremely crazy when it’s not even your truck…. So I’m trying to figure out the benefits of this when you can get $2500 to $4000 depending on miles, so what is the time frame and the max miles bcuz it seems like the truck company is pumping the drivers!!!
The “average” company driver makes about 1,300 - 1,600 OTR. You can definitely make more with other companies you just have to find the right one. Point me in the direction where you make $2,500 - $4000 consistently and legally as a company driver. Cause I’m trying to go ta-day 😂 I always tell people driveway is a hustle it has it pros and it has its cons. For me it’s pros are. Freedom Time freedom Schedule Freedom I choose when I want to drive. I choose how I want to drive. Because it’s a bobtail parking is never an issue. We run paper logs do with that information what you want 😏 If I want to go to Florida or California to meet family or friends I just choose a truck going that way get paid same day or next day of drop off and no one is questioning when I’m getting back on the road. My last run I made took home $2,400 after fuel and all expenses in 4 days which isn’t bad for someone who doesn’t own the truck
@Nya New this is what I was a boutique to ask are you 1099 or are you W2? Bc if you're 1099 u gotta take 22% from that 2500 which is about 1950 take home pay for 8 days on the road and I'm a local guy W2 and make about 30p bucks less but don't pay for fuel. Now if u making 2500 take home bc you're W2 and only work 8days then heck yes this is crazy money making. Please let me know cause I'm interested in this and idk if it's always 1099 or W2. God bless! Thank you and drive safe!
I worked truck movers and the other one is no longer running. But we ran as a team by choice to reduce cost. You’re not always guaranteed to get a truck going the same direction though
I’m not sure exactly lol. Because my restriction is still on there, but once it’s off I’m just going to tell them not to give me one. We’ll see if that works for me 😂😂😂
Was that beautiful tan Peterbilt a 579? Too bad it was so small inside bc the body was gorgeous. Also, is this a position that you can do mainly during the daylight hours? Lastly were those figures net or gross? Is this a 1099 job? That’s good that your monitoring your expenses. Super smart financial move. Thanks so much for sharing this information.
@@nyanyanew Hey Ma Swat is similar to what you are doing! Specifically a group of driver's will run from NC to Georgia delivering vehicles with Right Sided Steers.. In General moving vehicles from hub to hub.
Good morning, I hope your well. If you are a company driver, why are you responsible for fuel and if you are drive in teams how are you able to stop and do you thing. I'm trying to be rude I'm just curious
Driveaway is different. You’re an independent contractor and depending on the company and contract you’re on you are responsible for everything. When I say team it’s more of a convoy. We’re all going to the same/close by destination
You’re welcome. Me too but that’s apart of being a independent contractor. Some companies cover all expenses, but you get paid less and you don’t get to negotiate your rate. Driveway is not for everyone
Honestly I don’t remember. But when you apply for most Driveaway companies they can give you an estimate on the pay per mile, but you can also negotiate your rate per trip.
It’s paper logs. They have no way of tracking you because you’re constantly switching trucks. Or you can use apps like motive which is just a digital paper log
@Nya New how many days did u work? Also did u run 2 logs books? Or one👀 I wanna get in this field but for a local guy W2 if I make $1,300 every week take home after taxes and u take home (let's use your example $2,300 minus 22% for taxes on for the end of the year) you're looking at $1,900 a week. Take home which is big money 💰
No, I don’t deliver freight at all. I literally deliver the tractor (truck) no trailer connected. Once I get my doubles and triples then I’ll have 2-3 trucks connected
