Vilextone yes, there are some parts where the game over exaggerate the graphics and look, but overall, is a more realistic game than anything release to these days, include forza 7 and gt sport, specially in the rainy weather, the game looks photorealistic as hell
Driveclub is the prettiest racing game I've ever seen. The details of the vehicle, the environment, the weather effects, etc are gorgeous. Even the heads up display is so clean and simple.
Its the perfect mixture between stable and shaky dynamic camera and not too much motion blur and with the HUD ON the moving HUD. NFS Shift 1 & 2 had these elements but overdone done it with too much blur and shake also the graphics weren't this good but the game was older.
Not Driveclub 2 since the team went somewhere else, but not every member. Also realism like this is so rare, they really worked hard to make everything look realistic. Forza for example makes a the quality high of their game but no realism.
even after 4 years approx this game is superb graphically even forza 7 doesnt come close and even if the game is 30 fps the sense of speed is amazing and the rain on the windshield is so well done that its put the other racing to SHAME
The only thing that puts me off is the handling being arcade like, it's a real shame because the team behind this game made the WRC games on the PS2, they were brilliant because they were realistic.
This game came out years ago. Its 2018 and I have yet to see a racing game that looks this good on PS4. Need for Speed, Gran Turismo Sport, and Project CARS all let me down comparing graphics wise to Driveclub. Its startin to look like I may as well get an X Box and play Forza 😒
Fucking awesome GRAPHICS!!!, wait... fuck the crash physics it would be great if the vehicle was destroyed if you drive like an old lady, indestructible cars are not a skill challenge, but holly sexy graphics!!!.
This game is horrible to play the only good thing aboht it are the graphics. the AI pisses me off they crash into you and then YOU get penalised for it.
Forza Horizon 3 PC version 60 FPS still better than this game.. Graphic, Gameplay, much much better.. review was 9 score on gamespot but driveclub?? just got 5
I've got to say it...the track design, lighting, weather system, and sense of speed in Driveclub are some of the best of any racing game I have played. That this game is jaw dropping nearly three-years later and titles such as Project Cars 2, Forza 7, and GT Sport have yet to match this game in many areas, speaks volumes of the high caliber of the development team behind this game. From Motorsport to...this? Evolution Studios Reminds me of another amazing, defunct studio...Bizarre Creations. As a simcade original track racer, Driveclub really has no competition. Project Gotham Racing comes close with its urban track design, however, Gran Turismo and Forza's 'fantasy' tracks can't touch this game, Project Cars 2 and Forza 7's weather can't touch this game, Gran Turismo Sport's car models can't touch this game. This game is an underrated masterpiece, simple. Would have to loved to see this game at native 4K/30 w/HDR!
Audi A7 mate the lighting is not baked it and not preloaded and yes some object cast shadow has been disabled due to the limitation of the gpu of the console, it has a physics engine, called bullet physics they choosed a open source engine ( forza project cars and others uses HAVOK physics ) if it doesnt have a physics engine they won't even use this game engine if it doesnt have one, they have to lock the framelimiter cause if it isn't then you'll get a 40 to 48 fps with stattering, the shadow isnt low it is set to a medium and a soft cascade shadow, and yeah the car list well since they are a small group you'll know that they don't enough cash to get most of the car license to be used in the game and as you can see they mainly adding cars by making it a dlc in a low price and the particle yes it's mainly due to the bullets physics engines limitation ( yeah and if sony europe didn't let them back out instead of helping them out they will make a great game with the a content that people want's )
I NEVER saw something like this in a game before! I mean the visuals and reflections are beyond this world! I wonder how driveclub 2 will look if they made one! And if then i hope they improve the handling more realistic! But otherwiese these game develoer did a great job! I will buy a ps4 for this game and uncharted!
+Hugo Bareiro Definately quiet better for sure! But i selled this and the ps4 after some hours. This game ist fun for me because of the strange handling. I couldnt get used to it. I prefer something like forza 6 or horizon more. I gived it a chance but.......Hope driveclub 2 would be totaly diferent. Because as you can see, visuals are worth nothing without good gameplay.
T44 the physics isn't that good. It's arcade with a touch of simulation. I gather that, it's screws up my brain. If I play simulation, I play one way, if I play arcade, I play another way. But WhEn I pLaY sImCaDe, I fÜcKiNg SuCc.
Still what it means ultra realistic graphics in games....the Over glossy roads & Car paint with hell lot of reflections, Over shining Sun above which will barely allow you to see some stuffs around, same sparks of fire which has been using since last 10 years, glossy surfaces all around....We need some change Developers. Bring the pure nature look.
