i think majority of people in this comment section should never drive. this is undertaking. its dangerous and idiocy. the correct order would be to overtake on the left lane and fall back to the right, not slalom between cars.

Not too surprised people are defending riding someone’s bumper and nearly sideswiping them at highway speeds because the driver was too scared to get in the left lane. If these people knew how to drive I wouldn’t see accidents everyday with 2-4 ambulances.

The driver in question obviously made a risky move-changing lanes in between the only other two cars on the road? Putting a blinker on is nice, but it was only during the actual lane change. They should have stayed in the passing lane and then got over after passing yours and the other car. No reason to split two cars like that. Also i feel like if you were made to slow down thats when you were cut off

Everyone is talking about the filmer or the other car that "cut off" the filmer, but no one is talking about the main cause of this situation. The left lane camper. Left lane camping can be very dangerous for the driver and or other drivers on the road in some cases. Also, I personally don't think this was "cutting off." Could he have gone about it in a better/safer way? Yes. Was this life threateningly dangerous? No. Edit: Well, I gotta run this back. There is quite clearly an open left lane. Just forget about the first point. Second point still partially stands but why that driver decided to go in front of the filmer instead of the open lane, we will never know. Logically most states pass on left side. Without having clear sight of the left lane. Cant really tell if it was a breakdown lane or a full lane. If he could of passed on the left he should have. But he still had almost a car length on ya and used his blinker ! I live in vegas we would of called this normal passing if he didnt use his blinker and or break checked you i would of said he cut you off look pretty normal i wouldnt be mad about this if i was the one in the situation. Personally even tho getting on what looks to be a highway i would of likely let off the throttle when i saw his blinker as well then proceeded to approach back to highway speeds to be safe. Even in this situation say he cut you you off but you were accelerating and hit him you would be at fault unfortunately due to his reasonable distance infront of you when he started merging over into your lane.

Glad you think this was crazy to upload, but here is what I see you do in fact speed up yes the driver should have passed on the left, but this is not something to flash someone especially because you have zero idea wtf that person is having that day he could could have gotten angry brake checked you or even followed you with road rage and shinned his high beams behind at you. Just a thought have self control is all because in the end you control your own safety on the road and if more "important people" want to speed and cut people off just let them be I mean I did not see it as a being a close call he sped up quite a bit to make sure there was room to get ahead of you and he signaled which most people who cut off do not do that.

This is cutting off! I'm on your side. That driver is inconsiderate. That driver is slightly better than other dumb drivers because he/she used a turn signal but that's a tiny bit of difference. First of all, you need to give some time to the car on the left lane to move over to the center lane. Maybe that car was passing the camera car by going few mph faster. Second, if you realize that the left lane car is camping there and you need to pass from the center lane, you need to use the turn signal for few seconds before switching lane. So that the center lane driver can understand your intention. This fast car didn't do any of that so this driver is totally inconsiderate. People in the comment following the "cutting off" driver, needs to have more driving experience and think about others when driving on public streets. I usually do nothing against these selfish drivers but using high beam is nothing compared to honking or something else.

I can see why others share the sentiment that you *didn't* get cut off, however, given the circumstances, I place you in the right. There is another lane to the left of the vehicle that cut you off. I did not see you road rage, I did not see you proceed to accelerate to pursue the person. You flashed them once, and that was it. This is extremely common in the Bay Area and Denver where I have lived. I have done this before, other drivers have flashed their beams at me before as well when I was too close. I handled it, waved at em to apologize, and went on my way. The driver in the sedan, I can guarantee you, reacted in a similar way, acknowledging their mistake and heading home, maybe with an achy eye lmao. You handled that well. Many viewers completely forget to factor in the wide angle lens, which exaggerates the distance between vehicles immensely. This car, given the lane markers was dangerously close to you. I am giving this analysis as a person who has seen true road rage, multiple accidents, someone who works closely with LEOs and can guarantee you that if I was an officer I would not ticket you for flashing your high beams in response to this. The individual in the right lane ahead of the red sedan should have moved over and not hogged that lane. The other driver should have used the left lane to pass, not the right. TLDR: Poster was in the right and managed the situation as many do in urban settings. There was only a legal liability from the red sedan, the original poster has absolutely no liability and if there was an accident would not be held liable given the details and available information. In terms of the Lumens, that's for the state and city legislation to decide on legality, but the comments are arguing the driving, so I'll argue the driving. To the poster: Don't fuel the trolls or commentators, I mean the engagement is fucking incredible but ya know. save yourself some time.
